Gunslinger Scenario
The Gunslinger scenario is found in Career Mode, RTC3, 9th scenario.

Apprentice
The objectives for the Apprentice level are:
1. Have a minimum park value of $25,000.
2. Have two roller coasters each with a minimum length of 885.83 feet.

The scenario starts with a lot of space to build, and one roller coaster in place. That roller coaster does not meet the required excitement rating to win the Tycoon level, but it does have the length to win the Apprentice level.

You begin with $10,000, and it's all a loan.

Keep your game at the slowest speed until you're making consistent money.

First, some things to look at. Open Park Management. Open Attractions.

There is a train ride that is closed. It is outside of your playing area so you are unable to fix it. Delete it, you're paying hourly to run it but it isn't making you any money.

Click on the Shops icon. Click on a shop name to open the control panel. Click on Sold Items. Now, some of these shops have potential items that are not for sale. On the left are little gray icons. Hover over one to see if it's already on the menu. If it's not, drag the icon to the menu to add it. Do this for all icons in all shops. Then you can set prices. Raise them a little bit but if you raise them too much, the game tells you the prices are too high. Later, on the console, where game messages are displayed.

Open the Research window. This decides what type of items will become available, and how fast they will become available. I like to put the slider all the way to the right for Roller Coasters, Thrill Rides, Shops and Facilities. In this scenario you can totally turn off Water Rides and Pool Rides. Set the others any way you want to, but the more stuff you research, the longer it might take for the most important things to become available. I turn most of them off. You can always change them again later.

Another factor is how much you spend per month on Research. Increase the amount to $250 to speed up the arrival of new ride options.

I always look at the park layout and save the largest open areas for the roller coasters. This scenario has a lot of open space. There's a good space on the left side of the park where you can start placing smaller rides and shops. There is also a good place straight up from the entrance, to the left of the roller coaster. I chose the left side of the park. By the roller coaster might be a better choice because the rides would be close to it.

You have to start making money as soon as you can.

Thrill rides attract the most peeps, after roller coasters. Open the thrill rides menu and at the top of the window are little icons. Hover over them to see what they represent. The left one is generic, the second is western. Click on all the rest to turn them gray.

Start placing thrill rides in whichever area you chose. Fit as many in as you can. Keep them all together in a cluster because it attracts the peeps to have clusters instead of stuff more spread out.

Add in a food shop and a drink shop. Raise the prices but not too much. They will make money.

Add in some benches, a toilet, atm, trash bins. These things are what makes the peeps happy. Every cluster should have food, drinks, toilet, benches, trash bins, maybe an atm. You want the peeps to have ready access to cash to buy your stuff and pay for rides.

Watch your money, but you have to get enough rides in to start making a monthly profit or you're going to run out of money.

I started with the Chair Swing, Bucking Bull, Lasso, TNT Vortex, Kaos. Raise the prices to $3 each.

I also added a toilet, atm, Golden Nugget Candy, Lemonade, and Bison Burger. Increase the prices and make sure all potential menu items are on the menu.

Hire one mechanic and train him three times ($50, $100, $200). Training is a lot cheaper than hiring more staff. Always train when you hire.

Keep building up the rides and shops.

At the time I took that first screenshot, my park was making $1000.00/month in profit. Once you're making that much, you can move the speed to the fastest setting so you can save money to buy more stuff faster.

Raise your research budget to $500/month.

Hire and train a total of 3 janitors and 2 mechanics.

Let time pass and you can slowly add more stuff, but mostly you are allowing your money to build up. When you have $15,000 or more, pay off the entire loan. You are paying interest on it and you will save more money monthly if it's paid off. Keep the game at the fastest speed and let your money build up.

When your loan is paid off and you have about $8,000 you can buy a roller coaster. The Wooden Wild Mine, Mining Mayhem is $2973.00 and will meet all your objective requirements. Or, you can buy any roller coaster you want to. :) Make sure it's excitement rating is over 4 and it's length is over 886 feet.

When my Mining Mayhem coaster was open for peeps to ride I instantly won the Apprentice and Entrepreneur levels. If you didn't, just keep the game on fast speed and give it some time.
Entrepreneur
The objectives to win the Entrepreneur level are:
1. Repay the loan.
2. Have a park valued at over $50,000.

These should both be already accomplished. If not, go back and do whatever you missed in the Apprentice level instructions and just let your park run at fast speed to allow the money to build up.
Tycoon
The objectives to win the Tycoon level are:
1. VIP Kara Oki will ride two roller coasters, each with an excitement rating of at least 4.
2. Have a park valued at over $75,000.

So you need another roller coaster with an excitement level of at least 4.

Make sure you have enough janitors and mechanics, and hire and train 3 security guards. They make the peeps happy.

I let my money build up until I had $35,000. At that time I had enough to buy probably any roller coaster available. And I had a lot of space to put several roller coasters if I wanted to.

I did a little terrain flattening in the area before adding my final roller coaster.

I chose to get the Glider Coaster, Flying Dream. Choose your coaster, making sure it has an excitement level of at least 4. Get it running.

Now you have to tell the VIP, Kara Oki, to ride the two coasters with the excitement ratings of 4 or higher.

Open the Scenario Objectives box and under Entrepreneur, click on the red and blue footprints to the right, near the checkbox. This opens the VIP Route window. Just click on the ticket booth of each coaster you want her to ride.

You should see the blue columns on the ticket booths and in the VIP Route box you should see the names of the rides you want her to go on. When she comes, she will ride them.

Make sure you have enough mechanics, one of mine was broken down when she arrived and she left unsatisfied.

That's it. If your park is still not worth $75,000, you just have to wait and let the money build up.

You can add to your park if you want to, the more stuff you add, the more money you should make. As long as the peeps are using it.

You can check if you are making a profit on any ride or shop by clicking on it and clicking on the Finances icon. But this information is from the short term so it's not super accurate. Sometimes it says the ride or shop is making $0 and other times it will say $350 or more per hour. So check it a few times before deleting anything.

Boom! You're a Gunslinger Tycoon. Congratulations!

Below is my final winning park.
