In 1962, the US Air Force launches a series of U-2 reconnaissance flights over Siberia. Learning from the Gary Powers incident, they select a region of the Soviet Union where, according to intelligence reports, less sophisticated radar systems have been deployed. Flying out of South Korea, the U-2s first travel northward over Vladivostok and the the Sikhote-Alin Mountains before looping back west over the Baikal Region.

During one of these flights, pilot Jack MacKenzie experiences an engine flameout and is forced down west of Lake Baikal. He survives the crash, but knows that the Soviets will have detected his plane as it lost altitude. Scrambling out of the cockpit, he grabs his service pistol and races towards the forest. His only chance now is to make it across the border into China before he is caught.

--------------------

Siberian Manhunt is an asymmetrical hidden movement game where one player takes the role of a Fugitive who has just crashed a U-2 spy plane and is racing across the Siberian landscape towards the border with China. They win the game if they either 1) escape across the border or 2) reach the end of the hidden movement track‒at which point the Soviet government gives up the manhunt. The other player represents the Soviet agents attempting to track the Fugitive down. They win the game if they either 1) capture or 2) kill the Fugitive.

The game is currently being playtested. Comments on gameplay and balance are welcome!

Also, regarding the decks running out: reshuffle the decks if you run out of cards. The exception is the Government Assistance deck: if that runs out, too bad.

Apologies, guys, I don't get any alerts for this thread, so I didn't know anyone was commenting here. It appears as though the Urban Deck was failing for some reason. I had my Mods cached so I didn't see the issue when I used TTS. I've turned that off now and re-added the Urben Deck. Everything appears to load correctly now. I'll check these comments frequently going forward.

Urban deck is the one that won't load.

Looks like one of the decks and some of the cards in the top right aren't loading due to unsupported formats.

the only asset still missing is the back of the X token (if you download a checkmark png you can use it for now). also most of the X tokebns are locked, you have to turn lock off. I woukd also reccomend locking the board so youi can't accidentally pick it up. then it is perfectly playable

I would assume you reshuffle them, but I don't think you'll run out of them soon.

probably best place to ask these kind of questions is the boardgamegeek forum for this game.

Hey, thanks for the update! There's still one image missing, but the game seems playable.

I have a question that I didn't see in the rules. If there's a better forum to ask, please let me know.

If the Urban or Wilderness items cards run out, are they reshuffled back in into a new deck?

Would love to try this to see if we want to support the Kickstarter. Some assets are missing.

I'm trying to get this to work, but I keep ketting an error on startup. it ask me to import a custom token and tile, but when I prss import it gives an error: load image failed unsupported format: UNKNOWN. I think the link where it gets the images from might be wrong, because when i put the bottom image link in my browser it gives an unknown webpage error.
