Description
rp_venator_advanced is a personal build of rp_venator_vfinal that goes offtrack from the original venator formula to what other venators have in mind that people desire.

This venator has, ontop of everything vFinal has:
-An open 2nd floor lobby area
-Slightly edited Cydi type jedi temple instead of allocated space on the Venator. TP is on the 3rd floor.
-Lighting is better lit and shaped.

What vFinal (and this map) has
  • requires nothing
  • comes with a NodeGraph for easier load in
  • NavMeshed
  • Run well with the 128 players - as long as there isnt NPC spam or special effects.
  • Hyper optimization (nearly every room is optimized to only render that one room when the door closes) Ontop of prop & ent render distances, and chunk load areas.

Rooms added
  • Dedicated quarantine zone to medbay (can contain the T-virus from gbombs)
  • Chemlab/annex to medbay
  • Jedi dedicated area on ship (comes with several bunks, counsel room, sparring room, archive, and hold)
  • Messhall/OOC lounge outside map to not bother others
  • Court room
  • gravity generator
  • Aux Generator
  • More bunks space (VIP, double-decker bunks)
  • A good sized debriefing room thats located right underneath bunks
  • Multi-purpose rooms (side rooms located on 1st floor)
  • Armory/Supply room
  • A dedicated brig - 6 cells, 2 solitary, 2 VIP, prison cell. "in use" lights just outside the cells.
  • Unique security area
  • GameMaster room - can control everything. requires Noclip, located under the tail of the ship.
  • full 4 region sim (Env-Sims) rooms has been added, fit with campaign mode with it. and spectating section.
  • Unique Citadel Sim
  • Unique Sandbox Sim (Called the 'Big Empty' by most) is just a massive open room to play with dupes
  • Unique ER
  • 4 individual navy offices
  • admiral room with protection
  • 2 navy bunks added
  • Computer/server room
  • A multi-purpose room for navy

Features
  • every sim can be run at the same (x4 env-sims, cit, sandbox) if enough people want to run them
  • skygate will now fit LAATs through it
  • windows looking into space
  • better movement in bunks main hall
  • easier way to navigate the floors using stairs without removing elevators
  • engine room remade and relocated to help performance
  • 2nd floor 'sim' rooms improved dramatically with nodes, spectating area, waiting box, privacy shutters, door lock, and claim indicator.
  • a better way to contain new players - comes with a "need trainer, please" button.
  • areas are now color coded to keep players from trespassing (Green-public, Yellow-authorized, Red-officers, Blue-navy)
  • Blast doors added to access halls to divert players to other ways to getting to other floors (for event purposes)
  • added background sounds to make ship feel more alive, such as the sound of active computers, air vents, and radio comms.
  • added Fire blast door to MHB to prevent hijacking of active ships.
  • all but final 6 bays have been extended outward, LAATs fit now.
  • added quick response hallway connecting 1st floor mid section to MHB, doors control in ATC
  • working bacta tanks in medical
  • connected the MHB and SHBs
  • the main engine core can now melt-down like a nuclear power plant
  • Silent alarm board added to security section to call security better
  • Elevators smoothed
  • Updated standard skybox
  • normal players with grav guns (not phys guns) can fix the core when it explodes

Q: "Can you mark the buttons so we know what were pressing?"
A: They are marked, and show in single player. The markings do not work in Multiplayer, its an engine limitation. Additionally, [TSF] Mason will come around at some point to help you set up the map, or you can ask directly.

Where the Archive is is missing textures

no, i have a different set of textures to use, but the swing around to get to this map is lower priority than anaxes_v2 and Batuu_v1

Hi! I saw one of your first comments was about the missing textures in the Jedi archive book shelves. I was wondering if you ever found these textures. I assume its a addon that has these textures.

and you must agree that the map you make (if also uploaded to the workshop) will also be open for others to edit for free and upload as well.

the version of this map thats able to be edited is under rp_vantor_vfinal it has a thread with the VMF, BSP, Nodegraph, and NavMesh for anyone to use. just make sure you follow the CC rules.
