Christmas Adventures: A Winter Night's Dream - Walkthrough & Achievements

This guide represents a full walkthrough of the game.
In order to obtain all the achievements, you will need to play the game once (on any difficulty), while not using any hints.

In the pictures below, the order of the actions is: red - yellow - green - blue.

Tavern

Watch the intro cutscene.

Time Traveler

Get into the Past

Tavern (outside) - bench: Pick up STAFF and LANTERN HANDLE.
Tavern (outside) - well: Pick up FLINTSTONE.
Tavern (outside) - tree: Click the squirrel and pick up the FEATHER. Use STAFF on the branch and receive FIR TREE CONES.
Tavern (outside) - sign: Use FLINTSTONE on the right side. Pick up FLINT.
Tavern (outside) - well: Use FLINT on the lamp. Use LANTERN HANDLE on the lamp. Pick up BURNING LANTERN.
Tavern (outside) - sign: Use BURNING LANTERN to melt the ice. Pick up WELL HANDLE.
Tavern (outside) - well: Use WELL HANDLE. Pick up SMALL BARREL.





You receive: WIDE PLANK.
Tavern (outside) - puddle: Use SMALL BARREL and WIDE PLANK on the stone.

Inventor

Make a catapult

Tavern (outside) - well: Pick up SIGNBOARD PIECES.
Tavern door: use SIGNBOARD PIECES and solve the minigame.
Go inside the tavern.

People Person

Visit a village tavern

Tavern (inside) - cart: Pick up SKI.
Tavern (outside) - chest (on the balcony): Use SKI to break the lock.





You receive: HAMMER.

Tavern (inside) - fireplace: Use FIR TREE CONES with the silver paint. You receive SILVER CONES.
Tavern (inside) - fireplace: Use HAMMER to break the statue. Use FEATHER on the ink pot that is inside the broken statue. You receive INK FEATHER.
Tavern (outside) - bench: Use INK FEATHER to complete the drawing on the coupon. Pick up DRINK COUPON.





You receive: WOODEN SNOWBOARD.

Tavern (inside): Use the WOODEN SNOWBOARD on the ladder.
You can now click above the bar counter. Pick up CUP.
Insert the CUP and the DRINK COUPON in the snowman (on the bar counter) and press the red button. You receive: HOT DRINK.
Tavern (outside - puddle: Pour HOT DRINK on the toy. Pick up the CHRISTMAS TOY.
Tavern (inside): Use CHRISTMAS TOY on the Christmas Tree to obtain KEY LOST AND FOUND.
Tavern (outside) - lost-and-found barn: Use KEY LOST AND FOUND to unlock it.





You receive: PRUNER.

Researcher

Complete 4 Hidden Objects scenes without a hints

Tavern (outside) - tree: Use PRUNER to obtain FIR TREE BRANCH.
Tavern (inside): Use FIR TREE BRANCH to replace the candy cane on the tree and SILVER CONES to replace the brussels sprouts. You receive CANDY CANE and BRUSSELS SPROUTS.

Decorator

Decorate the Christmas tree

Talk to the tavern owner.

Write a verse

You receive: METAL SCOOP.

Tavern (outside) - puddle: Use CANDY CANE on the fishing hook. You receive: FISHING ROD.
Tavern (outside) - puddle: Use METAL SCOOP on the sand. You receive: SAND.
Tavern (inside) - fireplace: Use SAND to extinguish the fire in the fireplace.

Tavern Backyard - bunny: Give BRUSSELS SPROUTS to the bunny. Pick up CARROT.
Tavern Backyard - barrel: Pick up BUCKET.
Tavern Backyard - cellar: Pick up PANTRY KEY.
Tavern (outside) - well: Use BUCKET on the well. Pick up CALENDAR CUBES (1/2).

Tavern (inside): Use PANTRY KEY to unlock the pantry room.





You receive: SUGAR PIECES.

Tavern Backyard - horse: Give SUGAR PIECES to the horse. Pick up AXE.

Tame a horse

Tavern Backyard - barrel: Pick up CROWBAR.
Tavern Backyard - cellar: Use CROWBAR to break the lock. Pick up FIRE POKER and ADVERTISMENT PIECE.
Tavern Backyard - cellar: Use the FISHING ROD and play with the cat.

Pet Lover

Played with the cat

Tavern (outside) - bench: Use ADVERTISMENT PIECE to restore the flyer on the bench. Pick up CALENDAR CODE.

Tavern Backyard - fence: Use AXE on the fence to cut the wires and open the path.

Lumberjack

Clear the road to the forest

Tavern (outside) - solve the HOG scene.





You receive: CALENDAR CUBES (2/2).

Tavern (inside) - fireplace: Use CALENDAR CUBES and CALENDAR CODE to restore the calendar. You receive: LABYRINTH PART.
Tavern (inside) - fireplace: Use FIRE POKER on the fireplace and pick up COOKIE FORM.

Tavern Backyard - fence: Use LABYRINTH PART to enable the puzzle.



The trick here is to wait at step 2 for 2 turns (=step 3) by moving up and down the tile on the right of the tile labeled "2 3" (until the wolves align so that they don't bite you).

Orienteer

Find your way in the winter forest

Glade

Glade - snowman: Give him the CARROT. You receive: GUITAR PICK.
Glade - bird house: Pick up GINGERBREAD.





You receive: TWEEZERS.

Go back to the tavern backyard.





You receive: SKATES.

Tavern Backyard - guitar: Use GUITAR PICK and pick up BLADE. Use TWEEZERS and pick up CORKSCREW HANDLE.

RockStar

Smash an old guitar

Tavern (outside) - puddle: Use SKATES on the puddle to receive ICE MIRROR.
Tavern (inside) - bar top: Use BLADE on the knife handle (on top of the bar counter) to receive POCKET KNIFE.
Tavern (inside) - bar top: Use CORKSCREW HANDLE on top of the bar counter. You receive: CORKSCREW.





You receive: MATCHES.

Glade - mirror: Use ICE MIRROR on the mirror. Pick up ICE RUNE CODE.
Tavern Backyard - rune puzzle: Use ICE RUNE CODE on the right side of the scene.





You receive: GLOVE.

Tavern (outside) - sign: Use GLOVE to grab a SNOWBALL from the right side of the sign.
Tavern (inside) - bar counter: Use MATCHES to light up the candle.
Tavern (inside) - bar counter: Use the COOKIE FORM to collect LIQUID WAX.
Glade - mirror: Use LIQUID WAX on the mirror. You receive: WAX SNOWFLAKE.
Tavern (inside) - bar counter: Use the WAX SNOWFLAKE on the sign next to the snowman. You receive: WOODEN ICETRAY.

Tavern Backyard - wooden shelves: Use CORKSCREW to open the wine bottle. You receive: CORK.
Glades - chess table: Use CORK on the figurine and then use POCKET KNIFE to shape it. You receive: MUSIC BOX FIGURINE
Tavern Backyard - wooden shelves: Use MUSIC BOX FIGURINE and pick up the MUSIC BOX.
Glades - snowman: Use MUSIC BOX to wake up the snowman. Use SNOWBALL on the snowman.

Go back inside the tavern.





You receive: PINCUSHION.

Tavern (inside) - fireplace: Pick up the needles using the PINCUSHION. You receive PINCUSHION NEEDLES.
Tavern Backyard - wooden shelves: Use the PINCUSHION NEEDLES and sew the hat. You receive: HAT.





You receive: SMALL BOTTLES.

Tavern Backyard - wooden shelves: Use SMALL BOTTLES with the paint can. You receive: PAINTS.
Tavern (outside) - well: Pour the PAINTS into the bucket. Use WOODEN ICETRAY on the bucket. You receive: ICE FIGUES.
Glades - chess table: Use the ICE FIGURES on the chess table. You receive: FAME MOUSTACHE.
Glades - snowman: Give the HAT and the FAKE MOUSTACHE to the snowman.
Go back to the lost-and-found barn.





You receive: SUITCASE CLOTHES.

Glades - snowman: Give him the SUITCASE CLOTHES.

Stylist

Help the Snowman find his style

After the minigame, you can go forwards to the forest.

Forest

You receive WITCH AMULET.

Forest: Give the WITCH AMULET to the witch. You receive WREATHS SCHEME.
Forest - tree: Pick up RASP.
Forest - house entrance: Pick up SHAMROCK.
Forest - fence (behind the witch): Pick up CHAMOMILE, PEPPERMINT, MISTLETOE.
Go back to the glades.





You receive BIRD KEY.

Glades - bird house: Use the BIRD KEY on the bird house. Pick up CONTAINERS.
Go back to the backyard.







You receive: CHESS FIGURES.

Glades - chess table: Place CHES FIGURES on the table. Click the piece with the tree on it. Pick up ORIGAMI SCHEME and ACORNS.

Grandmaster

Play a chess game

Tavern (outside) - bench. Use ORIGAMI SCHEME to create ORIGAMI BIRD.

Origamist

Learn origami skill

Tavern Backyard - wooden shelves: Use the wine bottle on the ORIGAMI BIRD.
Forest - statues: Use ORIGAMI BIRD with the potion. You receive: ROBIN BIRD.
Glades - bird house: Give the ROBIN BIRD to the robin. Pick up CART WHEEL.

Birdwatcher

Find a couple for the bird

Tavern (inside) - cart: Put the CART WHEEL on the cart. Pick up SMALL BOX and SHOVEL.
Forest - snow (in front of the house): Use the SHOVEL.





You receive: CHEESE.
Go back to the glades.





You receive: ROPE LADDER.

Tavern Backyard - guitar: Use the CHEESE with the guitar strings and the SMALL BOX with the slice of cheese. You receive MOUSE TRAP.
Tavern (inside) - cart: Place the MOUSE TRAP next to the cart. You receive MOUSE.
Tavern Backyard - cellar: Let the MOUSE loose inside the cellar. You receive LOLLIPOPS.
Tavern Backyard - barrels - Use RASP to sharpen the saw. You receive SAW.
Forest - tree: Use the SAW on the tree to produce some sticks. Pick up BLACKTHORN BERRIES.





You receive: BARB WIRE.

Forest - tree: Use BARB WIRE on the tree sticks. You receive BLACKTHORN WREATH.
Forest - statues: Use BLACKTHORN WREATH on the statues. Pick up GNOME WREATH.
Forest - house wing: Use CONTAINERS on the right side of the house. You receive ANISE STARS, CLOVES STICKS, CINNAMON STICKS.
Forest - house wing: Place CHAMOMILLE, PEPPERMINT, MISTLETOE in the bowl and mash them. You receive HERBS MIX.
Forest - statues: Use HERBS MIX with the statues. You receive HERBS ASHES.

Go back to the glades.

Glades - darts: Throw the DARTS. Use ROPE LADDER to pick up COINS BAG, ICE PICK, PINE NEEDLE.

The idea is that the tiles marked with a red circle in the guide are the tiles where you have to move the Christmas hat.
Since the target tile has ice on it, you need to move all the tiles around it until you manage to free it.

So for example, for step 1 you have to do the following:

Try clicking on the tiles marked with a white circle from the above screenshot (in the order displayed in the screenshot) and you'll get a feeling on how the mini game works.
If you still has issues with it, I will try to upload a video for you - but since I'll need to replay from the beginning until there, I'm not sure I can do that today.

Thanks for the quick answer - It's exactly where I stand, it has something to do w/ the success 'orienteer' I guess, unable to move the hat, only one tile is available ... Hv seen your way through, clearing your way at the bottom of the scene, the finish tile twinkles, and that's it. How do I get to the first iced tile ?

I'm not sure I understand correctly where you're stuck, are you at the puzzle with the wolf heads and the Christmas hat where all the tiles are covered with ice? You can skip this puzzle by the way, your achievements will still unlock.
If you're past that and if you have the carrot, it means that you didn't give it to the snowman yet. Try to do that.
The liquid wax will be used in the same screen, by clicking on the left side (that's the mirror). There should be a snowflake shape in the center, where you can use your liquid wax.

Stuck anyway at the path through the forest, how does this thing work ?? only hv one tile available, others covered w/ice (??), no move possible, hv carrot and wax ... pls help
