The Basics
In order to record in Gunz 2 you need to be able to handle the game at least 100 frames on all low so that you can get around 60 frames ingame while recording and a smooth trasition to what ever frame rate your video is going to be.

There are two ways to record your game. One way is using the ingame record option or the other is to use a screen captureing software which you have a variety to choose from. For the sake of tis tutoiral though I will show you how to use Open Broadaster since its the most avaible and reliable software I have found.

Now choose which one you would like to use and move on to the tutorial for that method.
Ingame recording
Alright recording ingame is pretty simple, but there needs to be video converison of the file after recording in order for it to be replayed properly since the game saves its video files as an avi. If these files get to large(its uncompressed video so it will can get into the gigabyte range in minutes) then the media player will have a hard time playing this file in real time.

In order to record your game press the F11 key on your keyboard. You might witness a frame rate drop, this is normal. Just make sure you have your gmae at the right settings to get 60 fps while recording, this will allow what you record to have smooth fram conversion when suiting the 60 frames ingame to 24 frame or whatever the video can use.

When you press F11 this will appear on the top right corner:

When you press F11 agian this will appear in your chat box(the previous text also disapears):

The text gives you information on where your video is stored(KEEP NOTE OF THIS), as you can see for me it was stored in my gunz folder in documents. It will create this folder for you and the video will be located inside the video folder within the gunz2 folder.

Now here comes the pain in the ass part: conversions.

For this youll need an AVI to MP4 video converter(or wmv/ your preference so long as its not uncompressed video). For this tutoiral I'll use DVDVideoSoft's Free MP4 Video Converter

You can grab it here::http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-MP4-Video-Converter.htm#.UxD-bvldU4k

Go though the installation process...

Alright when thats done launch the program if you havent already.

Now make sure the preset is MP4 and you make the ouput what you want it to be as well as the save location for the converted video file. If you want to just use my settings here is a pic:

Now in order to convert open the folder where your videos are storedand drop the files to the box on the top of the window(should be grey area):

Now when ready press that shiny covert button and wait for it to covert every video you told it to.
When the process is done it should make a noise and look like this:

Congrats now you can decide to delete those nasty AVI's and save GB's of space or store them, and try out those silky smooth MP4's.

If you dont like this way of doing it try the one below.
How to record using software(Open Broadcaster)
Ok this is my perferable way to record when I'm not lazy or if I don't wan to play windowed.

Alright, first thing is getting the program....go to this webiste:
https://obsproject.com/
And click download:

Go through the installation process and then launch it you should come up to a window that looks like this...

Configureing time!(skip this if you want to use your own)

First thing your going to do is go into setting and go to Encoding and make sure CBR is used and have max bitrate around 2000, have audo using the mp3 codec and at a bit rate of 256(anything below the quality is noticiable to sensitive ears) and have the format be 44.1khz stereo.

Under Broadcast Settings set the mode to file output only unless you want to stream which in that case figure it out yourself.

Set file path to wherever you want to save it(I just save it in the folder gunz2 saves the ingame recordings by default.

Under Video change the resolution to your ingame resolution and have the downscaling to None, with an fps of 24 or 30, or the rare 42/60(This is what most motion picutres and youtube videos use.)

Basic settings are done!

Now lets add a scene:
Right-click the scene box and make a add a new scene, label it gunz or gunz 2/ whatever you
want.

After that right-click the source box and add a source which can be either window or game.(Pick window if you like playing windowed, or game capture if you like playing fullscreen.

Find select gunz ont he drop down

These settings you can either leave alone or choose what you want to have. Press ok and then press start preview stream. If you did everything right this should appear:

After thats over with stop the preveiw and start recording your game!(congrats you made it thought the tut.)

If this is to much work for you I suggest looking at the ingame option and seeing that its about the same amount of work, just that this one will take longer to set up by a few seconds everything time you want to record.
End Notes
If there is anything wrong with this guide make a comment below and I'll address it.

I hope this helps as I found it a pain in the ass to record in this game and some other were having problems using the oriignal files so I tired to provide solutions for everyone here.

I recommend asking the devs about this in the support threads under discussion. I'm sure they'll be able to tell you all I can say it has to deal with either vsynch, your fullscreen/resolution, or that your graphics card is having trouble trying to process video capture and render graphics due to a faulty driver protcol.

something might be wrong with the way your gmae goes into fullscreen or how your window is that is not allowing the ingame recorder to work properly. This has only happned to me with open broadcaster never ingmae I will have to go look up what might have gone wrong.

I was able to record using the in-game recorder but when I play the video back all I hear is the game's sound but the actual video doesnt display.

Any way to fix this?

Best just to use OBS ( Open Braodcaster Software ) because it is a light weight program and has never lagged me at all or dropped frames and i record in Crystal Clear 1080p as well, I forget im recordign sometimes lol
