Proud to release my tile based overview map generator. No taking screenshots for 30-45 minutes, simply copy some code into a single game file in one spot, and load your save. Then copy the outputted json file to overview map file.

Intro

From the maker of the screenshot based overview map comes the new easy to use tile based overview map.

To make the map all you have to do is copy some code into a single game file in one spot, and load your save. Then copy the outputted json file to overview map file. No waiting 30-45 minutes to take all the screenshots for the old method.

… I spent a good week off and on creating save games and taking screenshots of all the possible tiles in the game to make this possible. And while I believe I got them all I'm sure there are still some road/cliff combinations out there that I missed.

we got a SM update before even getting an update to this which is something you don't get to say too often :P it's been almost a year (2 days left) since the last post from the author but i know life is tough and there's a lot of do irl, i just wanted to make the joke. anyways is there any news about this project?

Have you created a way to do this in the newer versions of the game? I tried to use the workaround that you have for the 0.6.6 bugfix but it didn't work

The world is a lot smaller than I thought it was.

I think they did this just to prevent unauthorized saves. I managed to find a workaround in saving a Json to other mods without using the internet. I'm not going to tell you this secret.

The Nov 3rd 0.6.6 update specifically changed the sm.json.save which this used...
I have a temporary workaround published on github until I can find where the json can be properly saved.

I did the step by step method but it doesn't work either, same as for the previous comments, please help us because it's a shame, I can't find any solution, no file with the windows search does not match
