How to Save (and also Exit) the Game

As a new player I had to Google where I could save the game. Here's a steam guide for everyone else's convenience.

Saving the Game

If you have just started this game and have been reading for a bit, you may be asking yourself,

"Self, I would like to take a break, I wonder how I can save the game?"

Well, I am here to tell you that while there is a lot of dialogue in this game, you cannot save during dialogue. You can only save while at the Kujou Mansion menu or during a Haunt Investigation.

If you have just started playing, hang tight for a bit longer while you get through through the beginning exposition.

At the Mansion menu, either click the "Save" button in the top right or press "Z" to be taken to the Save menu.

The same goes for Haunts, only the "Save" button is now labeled " Record" and is located in your command box. Pressing "Z" also works here.

How to Exit the Game

Similar to saving the game, you can only exit the game on the Kujou Mansion/Haunt Investigation Menus.

Now, while you're in the "System" menu, you may notice a button that says "Save & Exit".

This button does not save your game nor does it allow you to exit the game. It simply saves your system settings and exits the system menu.

Make sure to save your game using the "Z" button menu first (unless you want to lose a bit of progress, like me 😅) then exit the game by going to your "Bag".

Once in the Bag, click on the "End" option, which is the fourth button down. This will take you back to the main title screen and then you can leave.

Alternatively, after saving you can just ALT + F4 to quit the game
