Just Beat the Rush (SOLVED)

A quick guide for those poor souls whom, after the LAST STAND update, could'nt unlocked some achievements as "Beat the rush". I will be your guide, let me introduce you how to do it (legally) in a few simple steps.

1. Questions & Answers

     Before going on, upon which scenario are you...


     Q: I have still maps without medals to unlock, Will this still work for me?
     A: Yes, this guide aims to help players as you.

     Q: Can I unlock survival cheevos if I have a gold Medal in all the official maps?
     A: Oh god, Yes!, but you will need a workshop map in order to do that (I'll explain it below)

     Q: I am a SAM/SAR user. Do I need this?
     A: Yes, I encourage you to re-locking and unlock this kind of achievement normally. Why? Because the devs/l4d2 support team are recieving constanly fake feedbacksabout about bugged achievements. Is not a suprise they are confused because there are a certain player's group that are still unlocking these cheevos via steam manager, despite the bugs. If you still wanna unlock achievements as I explained above, get out of here golum, nobody likes you anyway.

2. Pre-requisites (The training)

     ADMIN SYSTEM
     Will give you Admin priviliges that you need to kick bots, securing your achievement hunting.

     RAYMAN'S MUTATION
     An add-on that still mantain one of the first game codes (from several years ago) before the bugs. This mod will add new options such as choose custom mutations (i.e. Survival, versus, etc).

     ANY SURVIVAL MAP (OPTIONAL)
     This step is only for those whom do not have more medals to unlock on survival official maps (in other words only if you have all the gold medals). Download the map of your preference but I'll recommend you this one:

                    Now, you will face reality, let's see how these new tips will help you

3. Beatin' the Rush

     In the main Menu screen

• Choose custom mutation
  • Survival
    
  • Realism or Horde mode (not special infected)
    
  • Select an official or workshop map upon which you have medals left

     In game

• Type in the chat box (not in the console) !Kick (bot's name i.e. Bill).

        (Make sure you are the "Last survivor standing")

• Pick a melee weapon, if you do not find one, type in the chat box !give katana (or any weapon you like).

• BEAT THE RUSH!!!

     PS: These add-ons combinations could be used in several achievement unlocking, Happy                                                                        hunting!

                         Now the training is over, you can go and release your new powers

I was about to lose hope with this achievement, can't thank you enough for this. I tried about 8 different methods, but kicking the bots was the only way to get it to work. Cheers!

This worked, but its a good idea to kill yourself after kicking the bots. My first run didn't pop the achievement so I ran a second time to 7 minutes and that did it. Pretty sure killing myself after kicking the bots would've made it pop after 4 minutes instead of 7.

Probably as an abstact of all, we can blame Valve for abandon l4d and give it to other people. Community is the only that mantain this game alive as always.

The same way we thank you we can blame l4d's devs for the weird stuff they invent as well. Or mb whoever updates the game and caused messes. I came here after I learned what are the silly achievement conditions. Disappointed by the vanilla management and impressed once again by the modders, sure.
