Using the dev console in Slender: The Arrival (cheats)

This guide will teach you how to enable the cheats in Slender: The Arrival, what they do, and interesting situations in which to use them.

How to Enable Cheats

To enable cheats, you must press and hold SHIFT, then press the "tilde" key located at the top left of the keyboard, right under the escape key. It looks like ~. Then, a dev console will pop up.

What Each Cheat Does

Now, there are numerous cheats to be used, including a cheat toggling god mode, in which you can look at Slenderman without dying, but still suffering the camera distortion; and others.
Here are just some of the many cheats that can be used throughout the game:

god - enables god mode, which allows the player to look at Slenderman without dying, while still suffering camera distortion. This does not affect The Chaser's damage to your health, though.



sprint - allows the player to always sprint instead of jog.

stamina - enabled unlimited stamina, which allows the player to never run out of energy while sprinting or jogging.

unlockscrapbook - unlocks all scrapbook items

reload - restarts the chapter

load - stops what is currently being played and goes back to the title screen.

master - enables three cheats at once - god, stamina, and sprint.

iamallama - gets the response, "No you aren't." (Don't ask me what they were thinking when they put that one in.)

Interesting Situations in Which to Use the Cheats

Some interesting situations in which to use the god mode is in The Eight Pages, The Flashback, and The Arrival.

The Eight Pages:
Doesn't Slenderman look more interesting from the back? Hmm?

The Flashback:
Activate god mode then go outside the house. You can encounter Slenderman outside, but you won't die. This is also the way to earn the achievment, "Not even a bug in this game will save you from me" by running to the left of the house all the way to the edge of the map, and...falling off. (Thinking that will save you...oh, how wrong you are.)

The Arrival:
You get to see his awesome tentacles and not die! Cool huh?
