Introduction
This is going to be a guide about the Box Trailers (Dry Van/Insulated/Refer) in American Truck Simulator. This guide will also include stats for nerds, such as VWR (Vehicle Weight Rating) based on number of axles as well as Tare Weight of each trailer configuration and total cost of each (base) configuration.
My goal for this is to help people make the proper decisions to buy the right trailer to haul the load they want to haul in one easy place, in addition to giving people a general place to find info on this stuff.

Disclaimer:
I may be wrong about some things and will be continually editing and changing this guide to be in line with actual numbers as well as other things.
When I do the numbers for GVWR I will always add the tractor using these numbers:

12,000 lbs - Steers
34,000 lbs - Drives
---------------------------
46,000 lbs - Gross

When it comes to the trailers it will be dependent on the number of axles and the distance between each axle/tandem set.
I will be using the FHWA Bridge Law Guide[ops.fhwa.dot.gov] for numbers.
Dry Vans
Dry Vans
are you most common type of trailer in the US. You want to haul pretty much anything, these are the trailers for you.

Refer
Refrigerated (Refer)
Trailers are also very common in the US and are used for everything that requires temperature control, but can also be used as a dry van if need be(though not in game).
In real life, Refers commonly have "Chrome Doors," as such I'll be including a separate cost listing for the chrome doors modification.

@Deathjr112 you is correct in this c:

the reason you would want to have an insulated is some products want to be "temperature stable" meaning, they can get hot/cold, but not excessively hot/cold. Primarily for products that are not temp sensitive enough for a refer, but at least need an extra layer of protection.

@when i go offline its cuz i cum the purpose of the guide is so when you go to buy your own trailer in game you get more money (atleast of right now) its so you can optimize it better. atleast thats what im assuming. meaning if you want to haul primarily dry goods why would you get an insulated
What is this for anyway

Triples are legal in Oregon as well. At least in the game. STAA doubles are legal countrywide.

Good to know, I'll make the change when I'm able to, Thank you Hylton~

They have to be 10 feet apart to count as two single axles. Most manufacturers set them at 10'1" or 10'2"
Kat  [author] Nov 8, 2020 @ 3:12pm
@Hylton Trucking
Are the axles that far apart to be read as 20,000 lbs / axle?
