The second is to immediately bench the best friend character, as their stats influence a later boss fight, the earlier you remove them from the party, the weaker that boss will be.
The final boss also has an interesting trick, I cannot recall all the details now, but essentially it swaps between two moves when you defeat all the mob enemies in the map. These two moves have zones of effects that only barely overlap, making it possible to stand right on the edge of them, and essentially walk back and forth infinitely to avoid taking any major hits. Paired with the healer and you can easily solo this with a single character, even in hardcore.
