Introduction
Why would you want this?
The McOsu workshop is home to a number of great and classic skins, be it self-made, re-uploaded from popular players or otherwise gimmicky skins. Sadly, McOsu isn't forwards-compatible with stable so skins downloaded through the workshop don't get added to your osu!stable installation.

Is this difficult to do?
Not at all! It is a matter of directing yourself to the McOsu workshop files on your Steam installation and copy-pasting the contents into the Skins folder of your osu! installation!

Anyway - let's begin!
Copying skins
Step 1:
Right click on McOsu in your Steam Library, hit Properties, switch to the Installed Files tab and then hit Browse....

Step 2:
Go to your steamapps folder, then go to workshop -> content -> 607260.

Why 607260?
Because that is the App ID of McOsu on Steam. Each number in the workshop/content folder corresponds to each App ID on Steam.

Step 3:
In this step, you are going to have to identify what skin you're working with and which one you want to paste into your osu! install.

Each number in your content folder corresponds to the file ID on Steam. In this example - I'm going to use my own Modified Default Skin which has the ID of 1959421722.

Once you've identified which skin it is that you want to transfer to osu!stable - go to your osu! install's directory. The typical location for your osu! installation is C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\osu! however if you have it in a different location - you should go there.

You can easily get to your osu!stable location from within the game itself by going to the Options and pressing "Open osu! folder!"

Open the Skins folder and create a new folder inside of it. For the sake of this guide - I will name mine "McOsu Workshop Skin".

Then simply copy everything from the workshop skin's folder into your newly created folder!

Step 4:
If you have osu! open - restart it!
If you don't have it open - open it!

You should be able to find and use the skin you just pasted over.

That's it! You should be able to simply go in and play the game with your freshly downloaded and ported over McOsu Workshop skin!
Modifying Skins
If the Workshop skin you downloaded includes customization options - this is also a good way of modifying these skins for use in McOsu!

My anti-tilt skin includes a whole section of useful customization options, intended for fixing specific issues with McOsu or for the sake of comfortability.

In-game, without any modifications, my anti-tilt skin looks like this:

So let's fix it!

Step 1:
Open the corresponding skin with the associated ID! Since I'm using my own anti-tilt skin, I'm opening the folder with the ID of 2219498760.

Step 2:
Replace the problematic files! In my case - score-percent.png is the file causing me problems, so I'm simply going to replace it with a normal one that I have included in my skin's folder in the folder show or hide accuracy\show accuracy

Step 3:
Reload the skin!
You can do this in 1 of 2 ways:
a) CTRL+ALT+S (works in osu!stable too!)
b) Pressing the "Reload Skin" button in-game (McOsu only)

And you're done! Whatever problematic issues you've had with specific skins should be properly resolved now!

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What about osu!lazer?
A: Once you are done porting your skin from McOsu's Workshop to osu!stable - you can reimport it into osu!lazer using the built-in skin importer! Whatever issues osu!lazer will have with the skin are unrelated to McOsu at that point.

Q: Can I modify the skins in any way I see fit?
You sure can! Just keep in mind that if the skin ever gets updated - everything will un-do itself and the process of modification will have to be repeated. Or if the skin gets updated and you wanna have the updated version in your osu!stable version - you'll have to copy and paste everything over again.

Can this get me banned?
...why would it? It's just copying/modifying a skin. This won't get you banned from anywhere - not osu!, not McOsu, not Steam or anything else.
