Introduction
Hello, this is my basic building guide. This guide will tell you many different tips that will help you build smooth, neat looking creations that will effectively keep your crystal safe.

This guide is really basic for now. I will update it as I learn more so keep checking it out. Also I still have to create what I want to show you next.

Deleting In Castle Story
Lets say you made a mistake while building in castle story. This can be a huge frustration and before I figured out how to delete I used to have to start my blueprints over completely. Doing so can be avoided simply be holding shift and clicking on the brick you'd like to delete.

This picture is from map editor

Now lets say the bricktrons already placed the unwanted mistake block down. Simply select a Bricktron and then hold right mouse button on brick you want to remove. Then tell your bricktron to "Dig Voxel".

Useful Creations
Wooden Platform:

Wooden Columns are very useful in Castle Story. They can be used as supports in a variety of ways. One method in particular is to stack two of them and then have 3 of them coming out of the side. You can have up to 3, but less than if you want. You then connect it with 2 more columns going up. Continue doing this for cool creations that will help you defend your land from evil Corruptors. Since this description might not have made sense, I got a picture.

The reason this works well is because if you do the size correctly, your Bricktrons will be able to build it without need for ladders or stairs.

Staircase Bridge:

Using stone blocks, stairs, and arches you can create a bridge to the other floating islands. Arches allow you to build large creations that don't need supports to keep them up. Using arches you can build a bridge without having to worry about supports along the way. Here's a blue-print:

In this particular example I didn't build at the right point so my bridge was too tall.

Non blueprint version
So now that you've seen a picture of it I will explain to you just how I did it. I did the long part of the bricks facing toward the island I wanted to bridge to. I then set up stairs on my bricks and then arches behind the stairs. I then repeat this until it is bridged to the island. You "might" have to worry about your Bricktron's free-will screwing up your creation. So keep an eye on them. \

Gate:

A gate is rather basic, but some people might struggle with this so I included it. All you need to do is stack 2 long bricks on top of each other, then put an arch on the top one facing out. Then put a small brick in the open space. Then you go to your saw tool, hold right mouse button to change your brick type, then you select gate. You then place game and do the same wall pattern on the other side.

This is where you find the "Saw Tool".

This is the "Gate"(Door)

This is how I did it.
Wood Cutting Problem
If you are having the same problem as me where your woodcutters consistently get lazy and stop working ,then read this on how to "fix" it.

(Note: This is not for when workers stop responding and only works if they still move around when you tell them to)

When your wood cutter stops cutting wood it can be a problem. Mostly because wood is a much needed resource for building. First be sure that you have stockpiles with space for wood, because that could be a completely different issue. If you do have open stockpiles then all you have to do is order your person to cut a tree, then pick up the log, then have him put it in a stockpile. Essentially you have to micro-manage the it. You can't just set a task to cut wood if it's not working for you.

Another thing I have tried was just using one guy to cut many trees by selecting him and right clicking on tree. Then doing it again when he's done. Should take 4 swings for tree to fall down. This way you don't have to worry about putting away all the wood which is exhausting and your builders will just pick it up off the ground if they need it.
Defend Crystal?
Survival mode in this game is all about trying to defend your crystal from mean corrupters. But those corrupters care more about killing your bricktrons than killing the crystal. So the best way to defend your crystal is keep your bricktrons away from it. A method I often use is I put all my people on a tower and fortify the way up with sword fighters. Then I put archers on top. I do this every wave so my workers are safe, I never have to worry about my crystal. This method works great for early on since this way you can focus on mining and building defenses around stockpiles or mining locations instead of trying to defend a crystal. Later you should put a gated wall around the crystal and some archers on that wall for added defense.

Sorry, haven't played in awhile so can't help you there. Try holding control or other combinations.

This is like a year old so some stuff sadly might not work.

Using shift to delete does not work, neither deleting the whole thing, i have to restart completely to delete it.
