What is in an optimal Clown build?
When creating a build for the Clown there are 3 basic perk categories; tracking, chase, and gen regression/protection.

When you put together your optimal Clown you will need 1 tracking perk, 1 chase perk, and 2 gen regression/protection perks.

Tracking Perks
- Whispers
- BBQ
- Discordance
- Surveillance
Chase Perks
- Brutal Strength
- Save The Best For Last
- Enduring-Spirit Fury
Gen Regression/Protection
- Pop-Corrupt
- Ruin-Undying
- Surge
- Thrilling Tremors
- Tinkerer
Other Fun Perks
- A Nurse's Calling
- Sloppy Butcher
- Haunted Grounds
- Blood Favor
- Dark Devotion
- Bamboozle
Explaining Synergy With Perks
Synergy between your perks can make or break your entire build, synergy is an important part of every build and I will give you some great examples of synergy.

A great example of synergy in a build is Ruin and Tinkerer. When Tinkerer activates you can make your way over to the generator and scare the survivors off and let Ruin regress the generator.

Another example is Corrupt Intervention and Pop Goes The Weasel. Corrupt stops the survivors from immediately putting pressure on generators and gives you more time to get a hook and get the ball rolling. Alongside Pop this can take away any generator progress the survivors have.

A final example Spirit Fury and Enduring. With Spirit Fury and Enduring you can get through alot of pallets and get downs a lot faster. A side effect of this is you essentially chew through pallets fast and make the map unsafe very quick.
Example Builds
Here are some strong example builds:
1. Whispers, STBFL, Ruin Undying

2. Corrupt, Pop, Brutal Strength, BBQ

3. Enduring, Spirit Fury, Corrupt, Pop

Add-On Synergy
Now that you know what the add-ons do and the numbers behind them let's take a look at add-ons that synergize well with each other.

1. Reload Clown
Cork Stopper + Fingerless Parade Gloves

2. Slowdown Clown
Flask Of Bleach + Ether 15 Vol%

3. Area Of Effect Clown
Bottle Of Chloroform + Garish Make-up kit

4. Machine Gun Clown
Robin Feather + Starling Feather

5. DC Clown
Redhead's Pinky Finger + Flask Of Bleach
Conclusion
Although I have shown you very reliable and strong builds you have to remember that Clown is one of the weakest killers in the game. Although being skillful will help, do keep in mind RNG can make or break your games. Now go and intoxicate some survivors.

Clown objectively looking isn't the best killer, but he's fun to play as. Thx for the tips

I appreciate this guide, you don't see a lot of guides here that take themselves seriously (let alone be well-written), so having a WYSIWYG one is nice. :winter2019happybulb:

This guide contains genuine information that I believe to be essential for somebody starting to play clown. While I see your build is more about forcing pallets and making the map unsafe this is not the playstyle everybody is geared toward. This guide presents options to every play style, not just one.

Misinforming people with bad information is the exact opposite you want to do for new players to try and play a killer that has almost no playerbase, the reason clown almost doesnt exist at high ranks is that there is an unbelievable amount of misinformation on builds and playstyles

all im trying to do is help since clown is one of my favorite killers

Everybody has their own way of playing killer. This guide is meant for new clown players and presents options for all styles of play.

Your Perks should always be

Brutal Strength: gas + this force survivors to commit to loops immediately after kicking the pallet which saves you time from Shift+W and lets you make dead zones extremely fast that you can hook survivors in to make it a area of death

Pop goes the Weasel: Fast chases + Brutal Strength + Gas make Pop not punishing to pressure survivors. Every time you hook a survivor you gain 20 seconds basically

Corrupt Intervention: Gives you enough time to set up a down or 2 and start snowballing with Pop

Bamboozle: Forces survivors to commit to a pallet immediately at window tiles, making tiles like killer shack or flat wall jungle gyms substantially less punishing. Also saves time at really safe main building windows
