Alternatively, if the moonbeam tile is your south you can use:

Or pass a perception check and find then unlock a hidden switch:
You can infinitely summon familiars or mage-hand to roll perception checks until you find it

The Case of Death (Gale)

Upon the death of Gale a quest appears, it explains everything you need to know but I will list the correct order of events nevertheless.

When prompted for the correct order of instructions they are as follows.
`1, Retrieve the pouch
`2, Bottom right
`3, the answer with "ash" at the end

Open the pouch located on gales dead body through the inventory menu, pull the purple thread, open the pouch again and take the items within, use the flute and play the notes D,E,A,D then say the phrase ending with "ash" then hand over the letter, you now should have the level 9 scroll of true resurrection available to resurrect gale.

am i retarded, or does your temple solution not make sense? maybe something has changed since 2020 but the wording is frustrating as there's no actual instructions or definitions lol. thanks anyway buddy

Gale: "Now this is very important, grab the pouch from my body while only standing on your right foot with your left foot pinky toe fully extended. Fully extended can not be stressed enough. Then you're going to unwrap the purple loin cloth around pouch in a counter-clockwise motion not to exceed 2 unwinds per 5 seconds. Then read the paper and an imp will come and they'll try to seduce you with his big dong. Ignore it, it's a distraction. Instead fix your gaze on his eyes and his eyes alone lest you fall pray to the imp dong. Then say "I lhavh innt thang" emphasis the "thang". Then words on the paper will form and you will have the Scroll of True Ressurection."

unsure about what to include as a puzzle at the moment, I feel like documenting a universal solution is best rather than solutions requiring skill checks but since it is technically a solution i might as well strive to include everything.

Also if you pass a perception check, you don't even need to solve the puzzle. You can just lock pick the door switch (assuming you have a dexterous character and thieves tools)

In reference to the Defiled Temple, there are context clues spread between the level and a book giving context into the order of arrangement.
