Descripción
Anti-grief for Left 4 Dead 2
  1. Friendly fire control: easily turn friendly fire ON/OFF
  2. Reverse friendly fire (ricochet): sends the friendly fire damage back to the attacker
  3. Anti-rush: configurable anti rush system
  4. Vote kick protection: stop being vote kicked from your own server
  5. Vote disabler: turn each vote type ON/OFF
  6. Anti-heal on ladder: stop falling off a ladder because of trolls

This addon is 100% compatible with Left 4 Bots and Left 4 Fun.

It's also compatible with Rayman1103's Admin System.


How to install
  1. Subscribe
  2. Subscribe to Left 4 Lib
  3. Done
For dedicated servers simply upload the .vpk file into the server's "Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons" directory and the local "admins.txt" file into the server's "Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/ems/left4grief/cfg" directory (see below).


How to add admins
This addon uses the "Left 4 Lib" centralized user system. Refer to the Left 4 Lib addon page to see how to add/remove admins/friends/griefers.


Addon settings
The first time it runs, the addon will create the file "Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\ems\left4grief\cfg\settings.txt" with the default addon settings (details HERE[github.com]).

You can change the settings by editing this file with any text editor or directly ingame with the following commands:
  • Via chat: !l4g settings [setting] [value]
  • Via console: scripted_user_func l4g,settings,[setting],[value]

NOTE: The settings.txt file is re-loaded at the beginning of each map/chapter so you can edit them without the need to restart the game/server.

+Crabby Cakes I mean, probably because the bots dont normally FF without mods, and bots have different AI and systems, so you have you add other systems just to make it compatible with bots, so not that mandatory unless you go for mod compatibility, the mod creator prob would make it tho as an extension to L4B2 or just an update idrk im not a mod

despite reflector working, it only faults players and for some reason doesnt count bot friendly fires in the actual campaign.

@Toffee Unfortunately you can't prevent that with this addon so it's a good idea to use an admin system when you play with randoms. When i host i also use Left 4 Fun, which has a few admin commands and a respawn command i can use in that situation.

@Kenny i'm fairly sure that you have another addon causing it. Or maybe it's a combination of 2 being incompatible.It can also be this addon being incompatible with another one you have. I always host local with this and few other addons and i don't have any crash.

Yes, I thought so too. I am moving to hosting these on a dedicated now. Local servers are too unstable.

My game is crashing whenever molotovs are interacted with. At first I thought it was because of bots throwing them with left 4 bots 2, since it also crashed when they did it. But after disabling the molotov throw, the game still crashed once I just picked up the molotov, or even just held it at some point. This doesn't happen every single time you use a molotov, but only after multiple uses.

The only mod I have that tweakes the molotovs is this one here, with the ricochet. So this one is what I am suspecting to be the culprit.
