ÖBB 5045/5145 Blauer Blitz

Beskrivelse
The famous "Blauer Blitz" (blue lightning) of the Austrian Federal Railways is an express train from the early post-war period. It was used for high-quality intercity connections and was also used abroad. However, the VT 5045 was underpowered, often overheated and, if it consisted of more than 2 cars, even needed a steam locomotive as a support on longer inclines. In the 1970s they migrated to local transport, where they served the branch lines in Austria until their retirement in 1997. Some vehicles were given larger front windows and separate cab doors. However, the cars underwent the biggest modification in the 1960s, when the large radiator structure "head tumor" on the roof was made smaller. The four DMUs of the second series, which already had the small radiator when they were delivered in 1956, were originally intended to be exported to Yugoslavia. However, this order did not materialize and so the vehicles, initially without any logos, were integrated into the ÖBB-fleet.

The following variants are reproduced for Transport Fever 2:
- 5045 in its original form with a large roof cooler
- 5145 in the delivery condition for Yugoslavia without logos
- 5145 with new windows
- 5145 with beige roof (3 front windows and 4 front windows)
- 5145 with gray roof (3 front windows and 4 front windows)
- 5145 in Valousek design (3 front windows only)
- Since there is no 5046 yet, a fictitious 5145 of the GySEV is also available

Railcars (forward and rotated), control cars, intermediate cars and restaurants are available. All vehicles are individual in order to enable the almost infinite amount of possible combinations, even with "foreign" vehicles.
