This guide will explain how to get all 43 achievements in the game as well as the locations of all 167 collectables.

You CANNOT change the difficulty at any point during the game while on Classic difficulty. Doing this will nullify the "Made Man" achievement.

Gameplay Achievements

Lined Pockets

Paid a fine to the Lost Heaven Police Department



With a 1 star notoriety the police will order you to stop and proceed to write out a ticket. To achieve this run a red light, drive past the speed limit, bump into a police car or start a fist fight. It's best to set Police Response to "Realistic" in the settings menu.


Not Taken In

Resisted arrest by the Lost Heaven Police Department



With a 2 star notoriety the police will order you to stop and try to arrest you. To achieve this let a witness call the cops after you steal a car or just start shooting into the air. When the police arrives, wait for them to approach you. You will then see a combat prompt. Simply press that prompt and you will get the achievement. It's best to set Police Response to "Realistic" in the settings menu.


Heat from the Cops

Lost the cops after accruing a five star police chase



With a 5 star notoriety the police will hunt you down more dead than alive. To achieve this kill police officers and create general mayhem. After that get into a vehicle and lose them. It's best to set Police Response to "Realistic" in the settings menu. Easy way to get this is to shoot up a cop car in Little Italy and then run back into Salieri's (unconfirmed if it works every single time).

Here's is a tip on how to get it by acowsik:
"For Heat From The Cops, you can easily get it on your escape from the old prison in Election Campaign. You automatically are at 4 stars when you start to fight with cops. Once you reach the main entrance and kill the cops waiting outside your wanted level goes up to max. Just run down the road till you reach the area that you used to enter the prison to begin with and hide in the area with those protesting dwellers. Easily done once they stop looking for you."


Car Enthusiast

Lockpicked 5 cars on the streets of Lost Heaven and environs



Open up Free Ride mode, walk up to parked cars and lockpick them. You can do this as soon as you unlock Free Ride. Good place to do this is a parking lot near Salieri's Bar. Location below:




That Motor can Move

Reached 50mph while driving the Bolt Ace



The Bolt Ace is the very first car you get from Ralphie in the mission "Molotov Party". This achievement is easier than it sounds, simply go in a straight line and drive down the West River Tunnel that connects Little Italy with Central Island. This can be done in Free Ride or Molotov Party or any other story mission where you can pick a car from the garage.




Stunt Rider

Performed a wheelie for 3 seconds



Get onto a bike (you should have one for free in the garage if you own Mafia 2), hold the breaks and rev the engine as much as you can. After you release the breaks, have Tommy move back on the bike (Default: , ) and you should easily do a 3 second wheelie.

Secret Achievement

Took Paulie to a Place of Disrepute



The only secret achievement in the game can be done by the end of the mission "Fair Play". After you win the race, you will be tasked with driving Paulie back to his home. However, if you drive him to the Blue Tropics gentlemen's club instead you will get this achievement.

The Blue Tropics is located on the southwest side of Central Island.

The order of items in this guide is as follows:

Instead of the ingame order, firstly are collectables that can be found in free ride and secondly are items found during missions and presented in a chronological (ie. story mission) order (some items might be found in free ride as well, but I found them during a mission and that's how I decided to keep it). Foxes have a specific order as they are separated by locations (and the last foxes are the ones that appear during missions in said locations).

Please remember that the numbers in the guide do not reflect the numbers that are present on some items and how the game decided to order them. Ex: Sammy Robinson is a #22 card but he's #1 on my list.

is on the southwest side of Downtown, at the location shown on the screenshot.



Go in by kicking in the door on the right, then just take out a gun (Tommy Gun or a Shotgun will suffice) and go to town at the crates blocking your way.

Fox #23 is in a loading bay on the southeast side of Works Quarter (you need to jump over a wall to get here).




Fox #24 is in a small hut on the south side of Works Quarter.




Fox #25 is on top of a crane tower at the harbour in the "You Lucky Bastard" mission.

Mystery Foxes Locations (#26-#31 Central Island)

Fox #26 is above the West River Tunnel exit on the northwest side of Central Island (you need to jump down from where the sign is to get this fox).




Fox #27 is on top of of a small shack on the east side of Central Island (you need to climb the hut to get this fox).




Fox #28 is at the lighthouse on the southeast side of Central Island.




Fox #29 is on the northmost point of the St. Peter's Dock in Central Island.




Fox #30 is in the room on the first floor where you meet the sailor that gives you the key to the toilet in the "Happy Birthday" mission.




Fox #31 is at the bottom of the staircase that leads into the guard tower in the "Election Campaign" mission (before you kill the politician).

Mystery Foxes Locations (#32-#34 North Park)

Fox #32 is in a small shack on the west side of North Park.




Fox #33 is in a small yard on the north side of North Park (you need to jump over a wall to get here).




Fox #34 is in a small alleyway next to Morello's Bar in North Park.

Fox #35 is under the train tracks on the north side of Holbrook (you need to jump over a wall to get here).




Fox #36 is in a small yard on the east side of Holbrook (you need to jump over a wall to get here).




Fox #37 is in a small yard on the east side of Holbrook (you need to jump over a wall to get here).




Fox #38 is on a chair in the middle of Holbrook Park.




Fox #39 is in a small alley on the most southwest point of Holbrook.

Fox #40 is on the west side of Lucas Bertone's workshop.




Fox #41 is under an angel statue on the north side of Downtown.




Fox #42 is by the west wall of St. Micheal's Church in the center of Downtown.

Fox #43 is on a well in the garden of a house on the west side of Beech Hill.



Fox #44 is in a hut on a dirt road between Beech Hill and Holbrook.




Fox #45 is by an abandoned house on your way to the lighthouse on the most south point of Beech Hill.




Fox #46 is in a small room on the second floor of the prosecutor's mansion in the "Visiting Rich People" mission.

Fox #47 is on a porch of a house on the northeast side of Oakwood.




Fox #48 is in the backyard of Tommy's house in the center of Oakwood.




Fox #49 is in a small yard on the west side of Oakwood.




Fox #50 is on the rocks by the beach of Oakwood (you need to jump down to get there)

oh damn i was looking for this post where i comment before i just came back after so long just to say i 100% the game not too after you responded to me yea you were right you can replay the missions this was really a good helpful post i literally did all that had to be done on the game i even looked for other stuff online how to collect literally everything and do everything on the game i really loved the game and thanks again for the help!

Hello there, my screen is flickering so i cannot really play the game, how can i solve the screen flickering issue?

I don't have the game installed but Im sure there is an option in the main menu after you complete the game, take a look and you should be abl to find it. I think it's called "chapter select"?

Some can be, like the few in Ordinary Routine. But you can replay missions if you need a collectible.
