How 2 reduce game size of MAFIA - Definitive Edition

Follow these simple steps & u can free 8+ GB of disk space.

Guide v1.0

As expected, MAFIA - DE will install audio files of ALL supported languages.
By following these simple steps u can free 8+ GB of disk space.

1.
Go to the audio packages folder of MAFIA - DE:
.../steam/steamapps/Mafia Definitive Edition/edit/audio/packages

Here u will find the language packs ("german", "english(US"), "french(france)" etc.)
In the release version u will find 7 language packs.

Delete the audio packs u don't need.
I only need the German - audio pack, so I deleted "english(US)", "french(france)","italian" etc.



IMPORTANT:
Updates may restore these files.
So be sure 2 delete them again after the game was updated.
I will update the guide after any patch.

Update #1 did NOT restore the files.

steam should have a thing where it asks what languages to download.
it can require any number of files after verifying so im sure they can do this.

its funny i seen this because when i was installing mods i started to notice these files and started to delete them.
i knew i wouldnt need them hopefully.

@BORIS 100% dead aon. Devs are just the pawns in this game. No matter how much they try, they cannot go beyond the ccompany policy. Pawn do all the work, Queen checks the mate..

Pls stop calling devs lazy. Some of them are but most of them are just plain tired. Those people work hard. The suits upstairs I can tell you, is another story. Direct your anger at them

Agree with u.
Unfortunately all of the Mafia III patches restored the language files.
