Introduction
Hi, this guide is directed towards those who are new to SVP or those who just want to learn shakes :]

NOTE: If you already know keyframing (P/C and FX), skip to 2.0 for the Effects.

In this guide, we will:
  • Learn Pan/Crop
  • Keyframing (Pan/Crop and Video FX)
  • Effects
  • Obviously, A shake

This is the result:
Project Settings
Click the gear icon at the top-left of the image preview to open the Project Settings

Copy these settings:

Change the Resample mode, Full-resolution rendering quality and Frame rate.

NOTE:
This shake works best with a frame rate of 23.976
it may not look appealing if the frame rate is set at 60.
Step 1: Pan/Crop
Firstly, click on the Pan/Crop Event on the bottom right of the clip

Once open, make sure to Sync Cursor -> Bottom of the Pan/Crop Window

This will sync your cursor with the keyframes on the main timeline and in the Pan/Crop window

Keyframing
This part may be confusing for starters but once you get the hang of it, it's easy

GIF Explanation

1. First keyframe: Zoom in on subject

2. Move 3 keyframes by clicking on the "Next Frame" button located at the very right under the video preview
If you Sync'd your cursor properly, the Pan/Crop Keyframe timeline should move

3. Right click anywhere in the Pan/Crop window and click "Restore"

If you have done everything right, you should be left with this:
Step 2.0: Effects
Adding Effects
In order to view the list of effects:
Go to the Video FX Tab

Effect 1: Linear Blur
Search for "Linear Blur"
Drag and drop "Extreme Blur"

Effect 2: Black and White
Search for "Black and White"
Drag and drop "75% Black and White"

Effect 3: Wave
Search for "Wave"
Drag and drop "Large"

Effect 4: LAB Adjust
Search for "LAB Adjust"
Drag and drop "Lighter"
Step 2.1: Setting Video FX Keyframes
Open the Video FX Window
Located to the Right of the Pan/Crop Window

All the effects that you placed in the clip should be located at the top of the window

To start keyframing the start and end of the effect, click the time icon

Now the keyframe bar will pop up bellow
You can now keyframe the same way you keyframed in the Pan/Crop Window
Step 2.2: Linear Blur
Make sure your cursor is sync'd
Keyframing:
1. Animate, Amount should be 0.200 at start
2. Move 2 frames
3. Set Amount to 0

You should be left with:

Step 2.3: Black and White
Keyframing:
1. Animate, Blend amount should be "0.750" at start
2. Move 5 frames
3. Set Blend amount to 0

You should be left with:

Set your wave settings to this:

"Animate" button should be bottom left of the FX window
Keyframing:
1. Animate, Copied settings

You should be left with:
Step 2.5: LAB Adjust

Keyframing:
1. Animate, Copied settings
