I don't know if this was an update but: you don't need to choose a specialty for your pupils, a baker can also be a chef just fine, the only drawback being less specialization.
NOTE: bonuses from one branch only affect the building of that branch and not the other one. For example, Engineer bonuses only affect mobile buildings and not permanent ones. But the first 3 levels always affect both branches :)

The reason nobody summarizes in videos like this is that everyone is now part of the get-rick-quick scheme that YouTube and Twitch promise (and only deliver for the top 0.01% of creators). If they used their words, they wouldn't get them sweet, sweet clicks.
