Description:-

Here's my first skyrim follower based on one of my Argonian characters. He's named Slays-Many-Elves and can be found upstairs in the Bee and Barb inn, Riften. He's a loyal companion to have with you and is as brutal at combat as he is looking.

He will level with the player up to a maximum of level 60 and comes with a steel sword and a random number of other items. He will be wearing ordinary clothes when he is first encountered but I have put some ebony armour in his inventory which he'll wear when he's out with you. His primary skills are one handed and heavy armour so he's best with one handed swords. He will use a bow as well for long range combat however it does not show in his inventory - give him a good bow and he'll use that instead. He won't carry many items for you though as he refuses to be a pack mule!

His backstory is quite short - he's a mercenary who came to Skyrim via Morrowind in search of more lucrative work. He's also a member of the Thieves Guild but will work for anyone as long as the pay is good enough. He lives a normadic lifestyle and has never really settled anywhere, frequently moving from place to place to avoid enemies he has made along the way. He can however in the right company make friends and he's very loyal so he will make a great companion to have on the road. He has a long hatred of Dark Elves due to his ancestors enslaved by the Elves and his father took part in the invasion of Morrowind.

Hope you enjoy this mod - I didn't make him too powerful as I felt it makes the game too easy however you can protect him with better armor and weapons plus enhancements. I would recommend downloading AMA - Argonian Mercenary Armor as it looks great on him plus it offers a lot of protection. NOTE: He will only wear this armour if it is better than what he is currently wearing.

Installation:-

First, make a backup of your most recent permanent save then sucbscibe to the mod. The mod should be automatically downloaded and activated when you launch skyrim - wait for the 'finished syncronizing installed mods' message but I'd suggest looking at your skyrim data folder and verifying the files slaysmanyelves.bsa & slaymanyelves.esp are there. Make sure it is selected to load in your skyrim launcher and that's it.

Known issues:-

1) There is a glitched wall in the Bee and Barb but does not cause any other problems.

2) If you have multiple community made followers you may get conflicts with behavior patterns and Ai issues. If this happens try removing some of your other followers or change the load order.

3) Existing subscribers of the who have upgraded from versions 1.xx to 2.xx will have two sets of Ebony Armour in his inventory. Just remove one set and sell it.

4) When working e.g using a workbench or alchemy lab he'll be the same height as any other Argonian. If you interrupt him and then recruit him you will see him 'grow' to his size of x 1.1 scale which I have set. Most probably won't even notice but I thought I'd mention it in case the question is asked. This is the game engine limitation.

5) Some users may find that his body is green instead of brown. This might be an issue with the creation kit or steam or even conflicting mods but I'm unable to reproduce this on my system as it works fine. If his face is green instead of red then this is the facegen data that's not being installed correctly. I do have some texture and mesh override files which will hopefully fix this problem - please see the discussions for more info. I need more feedback on this if you can spare a minute or two to comment.

Changes:-

V2.00:-

1) Now will return to the Bee and Barb after a week when dismissed. Until then he will stay where he left him - I'd recommend leaving him inside an inn or your player home. If left outside in a city he may wander off into shops.

2) Now will find something to do if there's something in his vicinity e.g use the forge, alchemy lab etc. If left in an inn he'll interact with the other people around him, dance to music etc.

3) Will wear ordinary clothes around the house and in town. Wears whatever armour you give him when in combat. He comes with Ebony as default.

Players who play as Elves may not like this character...

There's not enough room here to explain it all so I made a new topic in the discussions titled 'how I made this NPC' if you want to take a look. Did you right click and select 'new' in the relationships tab BTW?

I'd like some pointers as to how you made this beautifully-made NPC. I've dabbled in the Creation Kit,and have referred to numerous guides to find out why things aren't working out. When I right-click the empty relationships box in the Relationships tab,nothing appears,even when Unique is checked in every previous tab. If you made this using an in-game character,may I bother you for a step-by-step guide as to how you did that? Thanks :)

Some users seem to be having problems where his body is green instead of brown. Could be textures and mesh files that are not being installed but that is only facegen data. If anyone else is having this problem or other incorrect colours see the discussion on this issue. Thanks
