How to Chat
If you don't know how to chat, it is simple. First, go into any multiplayer game (either by joining an active game, or hosting a server). Then, you press enter. Once you type/copy your message in, you can press enter again to send the message. Pressing the esc key (or the key you binded to open the menu) will close the chat, but it will not open the menu. You can't use any keys for in-game (besides the menu key) while chatting. To pause chatting, you left click. You can press enter to send the message, or you can do actions such as building, shooting, moving, etc. However, you will not be able to utilize zoom until you end the chat. You may click on your text to resume typing. Those were the basics on how to chat in-game. You may want to try something such as building a conveyor line to your core mid-chat to test out how it works.
Making Color
What if you wanted to outline an important detail, such as "Do Not put thorium in the thorium reactor first!" There isn't bold or italics in Mindustry, but there is color tags. A color tag will change the color of your text. The format is "[color] text". You can use various colors. Here is all the colors I have currently found.
  • Red
  • Scarlet
  • Crimson
  • Maroon
  • Brick
  • Orange
  • Coral
  • Yellow
  • Green
  • Forest
  • Olive
  • Lime
  • Acid
  • Cyan
  • Teal
  • Royal
  • Blue
  • Navy
  • Sky
  • Violet
  • Purple
  • Magenta
  • Pink
  • Salmon
  • Black
  • Slate
  • LightGray
  • Gray
  • DarkGray
  • White
  • Brown
  • Tan
  • Stat
  • Gold
  • GoldenRod
Note: All colors shown are unique. They are grouped based on similar color.
You can also use hex color (ex. [#FF0000] for red).
Adding Emojis
In Mindustry, there is also emojis of the resources, liquids, and buildings. To copy an emoji of a resource or a liquid, you need to enter the core database, shift click what you want to copy, and then command v (paste) it into the chat. You can have as many emojis as you want. The Mindustry emojis are also affected by color. Wanted green water? Now you can!

This is where anybody who contributed to learn more, such as find new colors or methods, would be listed here and credited for what they have done. If you find anything, comment about it, or message me. Thanks for reading, and I hope you all have a lovely day! :D
