Overview
The Flight Events bot is a Discord channel creation and switching bot. Both the bot and the accompanying website are community-feedback developed for MSFS.

Basic premise of the bot is to switch your Discord-user on to channels that are based on the frequency of your COM1-radio currently being selected in MSFS. The FE Discord bot creates and removes channels under the Flight Events category dynamically.

The bot can be widely used for community fly-inns and ATC-events, since it allows for easy management of voice channels by the event participants themselves, who can set
the frequency in MSFS and see it represented in Discord.

Flight-Events is developed by Hy#7819: https://github.com/nguyenquyhy/Flight-Events

You can find the latest release on the Flight Events website:

Guide
To use Flight Events bot in this category, first run the Flight Events application after extracting it. While MSFS is running, FE should connect to it using the included SimConnect library.

The FE client will then disclose your position, speed, heading, altitude, flightplan, and past track in MSFS on the https://events.flighttracker.tech/ website. The tracking functionality is also
required for using the Flight Events Discord bot. The FE Discord bot needs to first be linked with your Discord account, in order to be able to move you to the channels being created.

To link your Discord account for use with the Flight Events bot:
  • Run Flight Events client
  • Go to the Discord-tab
  • Click "Connect" ( You will be redirected to a Discord's login page to verify your user account to be used with the Discord bot )
  • After verifying your Discord account, you will be redirected to Flight Events, where you will be able to copy the verification code from the website to Flight Events client.
  • Flight Events client should now show your username#0000 on the Discord-tab.
  • Once you have MSFS running and have clicked "Start flight tracking", you can join the Pre-Flight Planning channel under the FE-category of the MSFS Discord server ( https://discord.gg/msfs ).
  • Finally you are now able to change frequencies in MSFS, and your discord-user will be moved to corresponding channel on under the Flight Events category.

For support head to the Discord server: https://discord.gg/msfs and go to the #fe-general channel. For SDK help, head to the SDK Discord server: https://discord.gg/epmbyyx
