how to run quake 1.5

its not that eazy for starters

so running quake 1,5 A,K,A (brutal quake) is gonna be a bit difficult, its not like doom were you create a folder called skins, drag that sh*t to any doom folder and put a pk3 in it and rename it .wad. so if you new to to quake and just downloaded a source for it ill teach you how to install quake 1.5.

how to install

what you need to do is go to the quake folder through steam or try to find it in file explorer, but first download quake 1.5 https://www.moddb.com/mods/quake-15/downloads/quake-15-single-player-beta-1 then download darkplaces i recommend it because its the only port that the mod supports https://icculus.org/twilight/darkplaces/download.html once done installing drag all the darkplaces extractions to the quake folder and rename darkplaces to winquake but first you have to remove the original winquake.exe. then put (run quake 1.5 .bat) in the quake15 folder and drag that to the quake folder. once done run quake and go to options then go to browse mods and enable it.

maybe try reinstalling quake and than try again if that doesnt work check if your using quakespasm

I did everything. Every time i enable the mod and i start a new game, it just sends me to the console. How can i fix?
