Important! This game doesnt run on Windows 8 (My Experience - Fix)
By JaMyZPunchThis Why u punch you?
I create this guide mainly for those users who use Windows 8 and want to play this game, from my experience I can tell you that the game dont run in Windows 8, or at least some users, incluide me around the internet cant run it in this OS. I dont understand really the problem but I read that was because of the new patch who EA develop for the game. Some users tell that the game was running well in the original version without the new patch and i read too that EA end the work with this game and apparently they stop the work in the series. Hope EA make a fix soon for this OS.

My fix was the following, if you are not sure... DONT DO IT!
1.- I was bored of try everything to run it. I almost bought Win 7 only for run this cool game but I was watching the library and I saw... "CD KEY" in the right side of the screen, so I go to google for search about that and I found that the game can be activated in the Sims page and it gives a copy of Sims Medieval to your Origin Account aswell, so i say, why not.
2.- I went to the Sims page, next I enter my acc and next I register the game, i recieve the game in Origin, I was like, awesome!
3.- Finally in the Origin account, I start to install the game but I deactivate the option for Automatic Udaptes as I read that the latest udapte doesnt run with Win 8... so all well. Finally after a while and some water, the installation and the download finished... I press in play button and the game runs!, all cool.

I just dont know if you would need the key soon for something in STEAM. Im not really sure, I just try this and work, but im not sure if this steps are well or maybe if you do this, now in Steam would be unplayable like with Crysis 2 (If you put your CD key in Origin, a friend tell me that you cant play it in Steam because the key now will be redeemed). Im not sure if this have consequences but I just wanted to play this game and this process works.

Hope this guide help to you and if you know something that this guide miss, or something, tell to me!
If you found that this guide is not helpful and you know that maybe its a bad process, or you know some bad consequences this can brings or maybe im totally wrong with this process and i just mess my game and my key, please tell me, give me a warning or something here.

Sorry for my bad english, im still learning this language but hope my write is understanding.

Best Regards for all!

the present tense of understanding is understand, like, "i understand this now", the word understanding is rarley ever actually used english, other than that you did a great job with it! (also don't forget to put an I inbetween the "but"and "hope" in the last sentance.)

Hi there! just wanted to give a helpful comment (don't want to sound rude) but when you spelled write. it should have been writing. (i will explain why it should have been writing) well, write, as in, i am currently writing this message. would not have been right because many people would have seen it after you wrote it. so you should have said, "but I hope my WRITING is UNDERSTANDABLE" my only thing i saw that wasn't AMAZING! you did a really good job with the spelling to! (also i put your accidental mistakes in capitals because then it will be easier to see them, don't actually put them in capitals though.) also, don't worry about the mistakes, plenty of americans get those mixed up! you are doing great on your english! also, understanding would be wrong because understanding is like, "I couldn't figure it out, then i understood it" that is the past tense, (must use another comment to continue)

yeah, one problem

apparently, Origin only do the sims medieval deluxe version, and as I haven't bought the deluxe version, and they don't do the normal version, i'm stuck ._.

https://help.ea.com/en/article/origin-my-games-list-is-blank/ is for some help if it dissapeared from origin now time to follow this helpful guide if it dissapeared from your games list for windows 8 or higher. Next sims 3 is paired with origins so any sims 3 game or sims game you buy you have to put in the cd key on sims3.com to get it onto origin. hope this helps. Sometimes origin directs you to this site for sims game.

All you have to do is uninstall the steam version of the game but not before copying down the key code. then download origin onto your PC. on the EA or sims 3 website, enter the registration code from the version you purchased in steam. then download the game via origin. origin automatically puts the patch that makes the game work into the download.

Yes, there is a patch out there but I was researching and the patch makes the user to use a crack which I am not sure if its all right in Steam. This guide shows the way to do it without the patch or other methods.

But you guys can use the method that work best for you. Thanks for share also ^^

Best Regards!
