Solving 3D Acceleration and Hi-Res Option Problem For Optimus Laptop

Follow this guide when the following solution doesn't work.
1. Edit compact.cfg and set both value to true
2. Using WineD3D

This is my first time making this guide. I hope this guide is helpful and easy to follow.

Enabling 3D Acceleration

Step 1

Download PopCap Patches by The1812 here --> https://github.com/the1812/Popcap-Patches
You only need to download the .exe files (Not the zip ones)

Step 2

Launch PopcapPatches.exe. It should look like this

Step 3

Click "Open File", and navigate to your game folder then select ZumasRevenge.exe

Step 4

Click "Open" then "Patch". Now you should have new .exe called "ZumasRevenge-nosig+vmem+vard.exe"

Step 5

Make backup for "ZumasRevenge.exe" and rename the patches .exe file to "ZumasRevenge.exe"

Step 6

Launch Zuma from steam and the option should be enabled by default

Enabling Hi-Res Option

Now, for some people including me still can't enable the Hi-Res option and tell that your computer doesn't support the feature. Of course your Full HD monitor and GTX 1050 doesn't support that :)



Here's how to enable the option by changing some value on compat.cfg and registry

Step 1

Open "compat.cfg" in the game directory with any text editor like notepad++

Step 2

Go to line 73 inside function "IsHiResSupported", and change the value to "true" and save

Step 3

Open Registry Editor, and navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PopCap\ZumasRevenge".
Just double click on HiRes and change the value to "1"

Step 4

Just launch the game and it will enable the Hi-Res option automatically(for me).

Можно файл exe не патчить, мне помогло исправить реестр и файл compat.cfg.
You don't have to patch exe file, it helped me fix the registry and the compact.cfg file.

It worked on Zuma Revenge. Tried on a Win12 laptop with A500 and on a Win12 PC with RTX 3070
