Introduction
Hello! At the time of writing, there were no 100% achievement guides in English for Blacksad: Under the Skin. I found some of the game's achievements annoyingly difficult to get and had to find guides that were not on Steam, so I hope this will make it easier for anyone else who finds themselves in my position. I will try to keep spoilers to a minimum, but some achievements will require them (there will be warnings). Either way, I strongly suggest that you do your first playthrough without stressing too much about getting them - it's a great game so I hope you will enjoy it!

The incredibly helpful guide I used as a reference can be accessed here: https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/blacksad-under-the-skin/343961-blacksad-under-skin-roadmap-trophy-guide.html
Death-Related
It's possible to both be killed and to affect character deaths in the game. These achievements will require specific things to be done throughout an entire playthrough so I have listed the necessary actions.

Immortal
Complete the game without dying a single time.
Missable

This achievement requires that you do not die or fail a single time throughout an entire playthrough. If you do, for example during a QTE, don't worry! You can load to your most recent choice and the death/fail will not have counted. Do not use the retry option at all - even if Blacksad hasn't died, failing anything and retrying will count as a death. Getting false endings might prevent this achievement. This achievement is possibly mutually exclusive with Not a Detective.

Nine lives
Complete the game dying less than 9 times.
Missable

This achievement requires that you die less than 9 times during a playthrough and should unlock alongside Immortal.

The Reaper
Contribute to as many deaths as possible.
Missable

There are a number of character deaths that can take place during the story. I believe you can't load to a random point for these to count and you have to do them all in one playthrough. It is possible that you just need to have affected all of the characters below during the various times you played through the game, but I haven't confirmed this so I advise doing them in one run just in case. There are some character deaths that will only occur if you fail a QTE or make a wrong choice, but they do not count towards this achievement - they are listed further down in case you are interested. This achievement is mutually exclusive with Niagara Falls and Zero Tolerance.

All necessary characters and how to cause their deaths, in order:
  • Mary Purnell. Near the beginning of the game, 1) advise Mary to continue working at Dunn's Gym while talking to her at Sam's Diner. This dialogue option appears after asking all other job-related options. 2) After you open the safe in the Gym, do not tell Sonia Dunn about Mary's relationship with Joe Dunn. This will have an effect on the achievement The End(s).
  • Colbert. When you get caught at O'Leary's HQ, you will have to use your clues regarding Colbert's affair to deduce that he had hooked up with O'Leary's wife. Choose to condemn Colbert by directly revealing this. This prevents you getting Niagara Falls.
  • Oswald Quince. This also occurs at Frank Cassidy's poker game. Quince is revealed to be the owner of a brothel that employs underage girls. A dialogue choice will come up in reply to this, where you have to choose to use your cat senses and find out that Quince is cheating at the game. Reveal this to directly affect his death. Choosing not to will also lead to him dying, but this will not count towards the achievement. This prevents you getting Zero Tolerance.
  • O'Leary. This one is easy to miss. After the chapter at Pier 36, you will talk to both Al Stone and Bobby Yale. When talking to Yale, advise him not to take the performance-enhancing drugs and then say that his father would not have wanted him to. I believe you have to have made the deduction about O'Leary's involvement with Avenarius' disappearance.
  • Sonia Dunn. At Thorpe's Agency, fail the final QTE to push the gun away from Sonia. You need to have chosen to expose Tim Thorpe and not sympathise with him.

Other possible character deaths caused by fails, which do not count towards this achievement:
  • Weekly. Fail the QTE when you spot Weekly spying on Sonia Dunn at the gym and confront him on the rooftop, causing him to fall.
  • Bobby Yale. When you discover Yale's hiding place at Mary's apartment, fail at completing the QTE sequence with the knife and later the chest compressions.
  • Farnham. When you are at Frank Cassidy's poker game and have to remember how many children Farnham has, fail the QTE in which he is choking on his vomit.
  • Smirnov. At the hospital scene in which you interrogate Randal Leigh (the anteater), fail the QTE to push Smirnov out of the way when getting attacked by the sniper.

Note: there are some deaths that are unpreventable and the choices you make regarding them appear not to have an effect on this achievement.
  • Do not attempt to save Jimmy at O'Leary's HQ. Doing so will only lead to Blacksad dying.
  • Choosing between trying or not trying to save Randal Leigh on the rooftop will not affect the outcome of the situation.
  • Despite your efforts to save Craig Spannow at Pier 36, he will die.
Collectables-Related
The game features collectables in the form of sports-related trading cards. There are 100 cards in total, with roughly 25 in each category of Hockey, American Football, Baseball and Boxing. They are spread around each explorable location and many are out of clear sight so you will have to pan your camera to find them.

The cards spawn randomly between 160 spawn locations, so there is no easy guide for obtaining them all. So far, some spawn points have been glitched for me and the cards in them are not possible to obtain even when I can see them clearly. Hopefully the developers will work towards fixing these problems with the spawn points.

I believe you can change the spawn locations of cards you have not yet obtained when you start a new game from the main menu, causing them to be randomised again. This will carry over the cards you have already obtained as part of your 'Hall of Fame' collection as long as you do not delete your save file, so you will not have to find all of them again if you choose to do this.

The developers have made a PDF document containing a text description of all possible card spawn points along with screenshots. It can be found and downloaded here [support.microids.com].

So far there is not a Steam guide equivalent of that document. If someone makes a complete version of it, please let me know and I will link it here. For the time being, I recommend having the PDF open on a phone while playing so you can check that you haven't missed anything.

Object-Related
These achievements are related to interacting with certain objects and are missable. Keep in mind that the game requires you to pan your camera to interact with objects that might not be in plain sight.

Billy Sorrows' Reading Club
Interact with as many books as you can.
Missable

This achievement requires that you interact with every book throughout the game. These are the relevant locations and the books that can be found in them:

Joe Dunn's Boxing Gym
  • Discourse on Inequality. In the back alley next to the homeless goat.
  • Hole and the Other Poems by Abraham Greenberg. Inside Bobby Yale's locker, which can be opened once you find your lockpicks at Blacksad's Office.
Bobby Yale's Apartment
  • Alma Mayer - LA FONTAINE TODAY. On the blue hutch next to the dining table.
  • Complete Poems - Avenarius (1 of 3). Inside the bedroom, on the armchair.
  • Michele Puccini - The Sicilian Capo. On the bed inside the bedroom.
Mary's Apartment
  • Femininity Starts at Home. You have to do this while talking to Mary, when you use your cat senses. The book is in basket next to her.
O'Leary's HQ
  • Complete Poems - Avenarius (2 of 3). In the top drawer on the left side of O'Leary's desk in the final room.
Joe Dunn's Apartment
  • The Art of Boxing. On the bookshelf to the right, over the record player.
  • The Life of Harry Bradwick: Father of Baseball - Bartholomew Finn. On the coffee table, in the living room.
  • Masculinity Starts at Work. In the bathroom connected to the master bedroom, on the sink counter. Cute how it matches with Mary's, right?
  • Dunn's diary. In the nightstand drawer in the master bedroom. This one might not count but interact with it just in case.
Note: there doesn't seem to be a copy 3 of 3 for Avenarius' poetry anthology.

Morley's
Buy a box of cigarettes from the nursing staff.
Missable

This achievement can be unlocked while at the hospital after you fight Bobby Yale. When talking to the doe nurse at the reception desk, choose the dialogue option to buy a pack of Morley's cigarettes.

The Quiet Lynx
Why's that poster in Dunn's flat?
Missable

This achievement can be unlocked while at Joe Dunn's flat. Interact with the film poster on the left wall in the living room (a play on the Irish film, "The Quiet Man"). Choose the dialogue option, "Dunn's nickname."

When angels fall...
Complete Blacksad's silence conveniently.
Missable

This achievement can be unlocked while at Greenwood Cemetery. Interact with the grave with the angel headstone. Select the dialogue option "...they turn into demons" to finish the sentence Blacksad had said earlier in the story when at Mary's apartment.
Character-Related
These are the achievements that require specific dialogue options or character-related actions and are missable. Some spoilers ahead, major ones are hidden by a spoiler tag.

Refusal of the call
Do not take the case.
Missable

At the beginning of the game when you first meet Sonia Dunn and right after you examine the photograph with Joe Dunn and Bobby Yale, choose the dialogue option where you refuse to take the case. This is also one of the false endings required for Not a Detective and might stop you from getting Immortal.

Say no to bullying
Stand up to Sam as many times as you can.
Missable

During the game you will run into Sam several times. Pick the more aggressive dialogue options to get this achievement.
  • The first time you head to the diner, you will run into Sam on the street. Reply to him with, "You watch it."
  • [SKIPPABLE] After you have met with Smirnov in the diner, head back inside. Reply to Sam with, "Try Mr. 'Eat my fist'." This should also unlock Good Samaritan.
  • Later in the game Blacksad asks Sam some questions. Pick the "Or what?" dialogue option.
Good samaritan
Buy your favorite goat a second burger.
Missable

Learning information about the case from the homeless goat in the alley behind Dunn's Gym requires that you buy him a burger from Sam's Diner. This can be done a second time after you finish both talking to Mary and to Smirnov in the diner. Go back into the diner as soon as the last conversation is finished and you should be able to get a second burger through either dialogue option. You will automatically bring the burger to the goat.

The 400 Blows
Take 400 nightstick blows. Maybe a few less.
Missable

After you pick up your lockpicking tool from Blacksad's Office, you will head to Bobby Yale's apartment. There you will be confronted by two of Desmond O'Leary's thugs. Keep picking every dialogue option except "Are you Irish?" (available after using cat senses) to keep getting hit again and again until this achievement unlocks.

Niagara Falls
Help the Colberts live a second honeymoon and receive their gratitude.
Missable

Consistently choose to keep Colbert's affair from his wife and do not condemn Colbert at O'Leary's HQ. Note that this achievement is mutually exclusive with The Reaper. Choices necessary:
  1. At the very beginning of the game, agree to lie about Colbert's affair and not tell his wife.
  2. Using the phone at either Dunn's Gym or Blacksad's Office, call Colbert's wife and lie that he has been faithful and you did not discover an affair.
  3. When caught by O'Leary, choose the dialogue option where you lie that Colbert told you to come receive a reward. Pick the dialogue option "He kept bragging about how he was banging some other guy's wife" to have him back you up. This will keep Colbert from being killed.
After you have done this, you will receive a phone call from Colbert's wife thanking you for saving their marriage.

Extra time
Get hired twice for the same case.
Missable

At the end of the hospital chapter after finding Bobby Yale at Mary's Apartment, Sonia Dunn's uncle, Tim Thorpe, will be introduced. Thorpe will persuade Sonia to accept help and keep ownership of Dunn's Gym and offer Blacksad greater payment for continuing to work on the case. You must agree with Thorpe to unlock this achievement.

America's P-ssycat
Charm Helen Moore into giving you a present.
Missable

When you go to question Helen Moore at the tennis courts, choose dialogue options that are nice/kind and appeal to American patriotism. If you mention contraband, play it off as a joke. Following a short QTE sequence, Moore will give Blacksad her cigarette.

Note: achievement name contains dash to keep Steam from censoring it (lol).

Zero tolerance
Stand up to Quince as many times as you can.
Missable

When at Frank Cassidy's poker game, you will be introduced to Oswald Quince. Similarly to Say no to bullying, keep picking the more aggressive dialogue options, not agreeing with Quince. This achievement is mutually exclusive with The Reaper, but you can load after getting this one to redo your decisions in line with that one without having to replay too much.
  1. When Quince says he is going to hold onto his title as poker champion, choose the cocky dialogue option, "You ain't got a chance, but I'm sure you'll learn something."
  2. When Quince comments after Paulie's joke about women taking men's last names, reply with "Like they have a choice..."
  3. When Quince talks about beating boys to discipline them, choose the dialogue option "There are better ways to educate children."
  4. When Quince starts talking about prostituting underage girls, pick the dialogue option "I'd kill you if you touched one of my girls."
Note: you might think that these choices will make you look out of character because of Farnham's messed up values, but you will only have to retry if you fail to answer a personal question correctly (this happens if you don't use the "Try to remember" option each time). In the final reply to Quince, do not use cat senses and reveal his secret - this will not count towards this achievement.

Good Cop
Play good cop convincingly.
Missable

Once you finish the fight sequence with Randal Leigh on the rooftop of Dunn's Gym, you will be taken to his hospital room where you can talk to him alongside Smirnov. Choose to play "good cop" and choose dialogue options that are reassuring, patient and often include bargaining, such as providing police protection. Argue against Smirnov when he plays the bad cop role.

Bad Cop
Play bad cop convincingly.
Missable

Once you finish the fight sequence with Randal Leigh on the rooftop of Dunn's Gym, you will be taken to his hospital room where you can talk to him alongside Smirnov. Choose to play "bad cop" and choose dialogue options that are threatening, impatient and aggressive, such as threatening to create fake witness statements.

The sweetest story in the whole wide world
Do not scare Brunhilda while telling her a story.
Missable

When you enter the basement of the warehouse at Pier 36, you will meet a young girl called Brunhilda. You will be able to calm her down by telling her a story using the sock puppets in her room. When telling the story, pick the least scary options and make it as child-friendly as possible. Some guidance:
  • My choices were: "Princess," "Cat" and "Pies." This worked in getting the achievement. NB It doesn't matter which pie you pick.
  • In the second selection, pick the "Cat" option. The other two will scare her.
  • In the third selection, do not choose the option to leave the cage; this will scare her.
Deduction-Related
During the game, you will have to make deductions by linking together clues that you have obtained in Blacksad's mind. You can make deductions that are not necessary in order to proceed further/finish the story of the game and are therefore missable.

Smart aleck
Complete all deductions in the game.
Missable

This achievement requires that you make all possible deductions in the game. This can be accomplished by making deductions whenever the brain icon (which you use to make deductions) shows a red banner with a number signifying the amount of possible deductions you can make using the clues you have gathered in that moment.

I have so far not gotten this achievement, so I cannot give information about it from my own playthroughs. You will hopefully be able to unlock the achievement using the guidance I have outlined above. There is a list of known deductions which you can see here[www.playstationtrophies.org], but it isn't the most accessible.

NEW: Some better guidance is possibly available here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1003890/discussions/0/3017941618733957712/
Endings-Related
There are several endings to the game. The biggest factor for which ending you will get will depend on some early choices you make regarding Mary Purnell. The following achievements require discovering several endings, so they are missable and will require replaying a little to a lot of the game. Some spoilers ahead.

Not a detective
Find all false endings in the game.
Missable

This achievement requires discovering the three false endings to the game. The game might count them as deaths, so this achievement is possibly mutually exclusive with Immortal. It is easy to unlock after completing a playthrough.
  • False ending 1: when you first meet Sonia Dunn and get presented with the case at the beginning of the game, refuse to accept the case. This can be done by picking the relevant dialogue option on the selection that appears after you are presented with the photograph of Joe Dunn and Bobby Yale. Doing this will also unlock Refusal of the call.
  • False ending 2: when you first enter Mary Purnell's apartment and present her with the scarf you found in Bobby Yale's flat, stay silent for the first two dialogue options (do not pick anything and let the timer run out). Blacksad will say a line about having nothing to ask his primary suspect and give up on the case.
  • False ending 3: in the final scene at Thorpe's Agency, sympathise with Thorpe and do not accuse him. I think you have to sit through the credits for the game to count this, btw.
The End(s)
Watch all 6 alternate scenes at the end of the game.
Missable

This achievement requires watching all six possible ending scenes - they differ based on which characters appear alongside Blacksad at Greenwood Cemetery. You will get one of these scenes depending on specific choices you made during the game. To get any of these scenes you need to have avoided false ending 3, which is described above. Make sure to sit through the credits for all the scenes; that is the only way that they will count. These are the possible options:

Endings where Mary Purnell is deceased:
  1. Sonia Dunn is deceased. Bobby Yale kneels at the Dunn family grave (which includes Sonia's name) and Blacksad comforts him. The camera pans to show Mary Purnell's grave.
  2. Sonia Dunn is in prison. Bobby Yale kneels at the Dunn family grave (which excludes Sonia's name) and Blacksad comforts him. The camera pans to show Mary Purnell's grave.
  3. Sonia Dunn is at the cemetery. She kneels at the Dunn family grave and Blacksad comforts her. The camera pans to show Bobby Yale at Mary Purnell's grave.
Endings where Mary Purnell is alive:
  1. Sonia Dunn is deceased. Mary Purnell kneels at the Dunn family grave (which includes Sonia's name) and Bobby Yale comforts her. Blacksad watches from a distance.
  2. Sonia Dunn is in prison. Mary Purnell kneels at the Dunn family grave (which excludes Sonia's name) and Bobby Yale comforts her. Blacksad watches from a distance.
  3. Sonia Dunn is at the cemetery. Mary Purnell kneels at the Dunn family grave and Sonia comforts her. Blacksad watches from a distance.
Note: getting any these last three endings is incompatible with The Reaper.

These are the choices that will impact which characters are present:
  • [MAJOR] For Mary Purnell to be deceased: near the beginning of the game, 1) advise Mary to continue working at Dunn's Gym while talking to her at Sam's Diner. This dialogue option appears after asking all other job-related options. 2) After you open the safe in the Gym, do not tell Sonia Dunn about Mary's relationship with Joe Dunn. This will cause Mary to be killed near the middle of the game.
  • [MAJOR] For Mary Purnell to be alive: near the beginning of the game, 1) advise Mary to stop working at Dunn's Gym while talking to her at Sam's Diner. This dialogue option appears after asking all other job-related options. 2) After you open the safe in the Gym, tell Sonia Dunn about Mary's relationship with Joe Dunn.
  • For Sonia Dunn to be deceased: near the end of the game at Thorpe's Agency, fail the QTE to knock the gun out of Sonia's hand after she shoots Tim Thorpe. This will lead to her having committed suicide.
  • For Sonia Dunn to be in prison: near the end of the game at Thorpe's Agency, successfully complete the QTE to knock the gun out of Sonia's hand after she shoots Tim Thorpe. Then either 1) allow Smirnov to continue reading her rights to her, or 2) stop him and tell him to give her some time. This will lead to her incarceration for the murder of Thorpe.
  • For Sonia Dunn to be alive and free: near the end of the game at Thorpe's Agency, successfully complete the QTE to knock the gun out of Sonia's hand after she shoots Tim Thorpe. Then stop Smirnov from reading her rights to her and persuade him that she does not deserve to be incarcerated for her actions. I did this by saying that, were Thorpe alive, he would have gotten away with his crimes, and his death could be blamed as self-defense on Blacksad's part. I'm not sure if other dialogue options would lead to failure and still put Sonia in prison.
Note: the first two points are tagged as [MAJOR] because the choices must be made early on in the game. You cannot load and change your decisions then have them carry over (and at the time of writing, the game has no skip option for dialogue and cut-scenes), so you would have to replay a substantial amount of the game for those choices to carry over into later parts of the plot. This also means that this achievement requires at minimum close to two playthroughs to unlock.
Conclusion and Final Notes
This is my first guide and it took a really long time to find and compile all of this information. If it helped you, please give it a thumbs up and favorite, if you'd like :)

Please feel free to comment, any feedback would be much appreciated!

If you know anything that could be added to improve the guide please comment/link it and I will include it.

I also got The Reaper with Mary alive. However, it was my 2nd play through, and in my 1st one, she died. Not sure if that helps. On my 2nd play through, I also unlocked Say No to Bullying on my 2nd interaction with Sam. Already did the 3rd response on my 1st play through so there's some 'memory' of some of the events on my 1st run. The Reaper, still didn't unlock until the end of the game however. (again, w Mary alive).

Also, I got the The End achievement at the end of the graveyard scene, right before the MSG boxing match scene. So I don't think you have to sit through the credits for this.

First of all: thank you for this guide. It really helped with some of the achievements. Yet, I must add two of my adventures!

1. I got both "Immortal" and "Nine lives" in my playthrough... even though I had a situation where I accidentally chose Retry option. It was once. I kept on loading from the pause menu, not fully quitting the game.
2. Surprisingly, I got "The Reaper" when I reloaded to the last QTE at Thorpe's office and didn't save Sonia. I had Mary, Quince and O'Leary already dead. Also, reloading to the point where you advise Yale not to take drugs may count.

@Dangerous Beans Thanks! I'll definitely try using that when I eventually replay the game, it seems really useful. I've added it to the Deductions-Related section and credited you at the end :)

Smart Aleck is tricky because it's important when and in which order you make the conclusions. In one case it even matters in which order you select the clues, because Blacksad may jump to a wrong conclusion.

I've found the exact steps in this discussion topic: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1003890/discussions/0/3017941618733957712/

I notice in thorpe agency location on first try i only found 10 card, then went on load/continue and went back into the office sequence from the very start (which has Blacksad talking to Stone & Yale, meeting Weekly then arriving at Thorpe's office). I went through the office again and found this card#22 which is a filing tray on Thorpe's desk

@soticoto
according to the bugs thread, there are still HUGE issues with Avernius smart aleck
the game still loses memory when you go to the gym, and its lame.. as this was supposed to be fixed
for now this achievement is still listed as BROKEN. You CAN get it but.. you have to know to do deductions in the lame hotel instead of at the gym
this is a huge oversight by the devs yet again. I just dont understand how they didnt just add extra room in the mind palace.
again #3 is not correct.. this is a buggy system and achievement. IT is very easily missed as no one gets prompted to use mind palace until the gym.
UGH
this game I want to love it.. but just end up wanting to vomit.

As for stickers. they made it to where ALL can be obtained in one play. Just have to tilt the camera correctly.. which is nuts.
just fyi on all this bs.. booo
