How to make ReShade work in SW TFU

Choose the right shaders and effects

After countless attemps to pimp graphics on the game I finally found a working combination without crashes to Desktop (CTD)

-------- Basic knowledge on how to operate Reshade is required -------

+ First, download the latest ReShade version. I use ReShade Version 4.6.1.826.
+ Install ReShade to your SW TFU folder where the game exe is located (SWTFU.exe)
+ Choose DX10/11/12 as renderer
+ And when it comes to which shaders should be installed
choose the shaders from "Pirate Shaders by Heathen" and "Color effects by prod80".









These seem to be the only working ones (at least for me)











+ Choose all the effects you like to use in the game





















For myself I used the following shaders:
Pirate_FXAA ++++ better antialiasing
Pirate_LumaSharpen ++++ to sharpen the game images
prod80_03_FilmicTonemap ++++ changes color to your liking
prod80_04_ContrastBrightnessSaturation ++++ makes colors and contrast adjustments


# No more Crash to Desktop when entering menus.
# Better looking graphics

Game is running on Win 10 64bit, Nvidia GTX 580 / GTX 760

Yeah, got Jedi:Fallen Order for $5 on sale, even though I'm not a Star Wars fan.

Loved the game and they have Debra Wilson from MadTV!

Then bought a few games and realized a sale would probably come up and I spend $50 on about another 11 or 12 games.

Played the campaign for Battlefront 2 next and that was pretty good.

This one is next, because I'd heard so much about it and it reminded me of Psy Ops: The Mind Gate Conspiracy, which I loved when it came it.

Yo, you´re right man. Still a nice game and I liked it very much that time....a worthy mention among titles like Dark Forces, Jedi Knight and the newer ones like Jedi Fallen Order! Even the single player campaign from Star Wars Battlefront II is worth playing...!

Sorry, I don´t have the game installed anymore, so I can´t test other shaders. But you can still go to the Reshade Repository Website and download version 4.6. or 4.7 of Reshade. They still come with the Heathen/Pirate and Prod80 shaders.

(Installing Reshade 4.7 with these particular shaders and then updating to Reshade 4.8.2 works, but gives you some errors, so I wouldn´t recommend it. )

Actually you can use the latest reshade version 4.7.0. and you also actually need to select Direct 3D 9 when installing Reshade.
