Using GZdoom: How to configure and add it.

GZdoom replaces the Old and inundated DosBox.
Now sure DosBox DOOM gives out the original vibe and such, but what if I wanted to use a different Sound card for different Music? What if I wanted to use Mods? Heres my guide for configuring, and adding GZdoom.

What is GZdoom?

GZdoom changes how the game works, replacing the old and inundated DosBox engine to a new and modern look to DOOM, giving more control over DOOM guy and letting you move your mouse anywhere you want, like a Modern FPS game, this also gives controls over settings, the quality, the music, etc.

It also gives you options like full-screen and such.

Why use GZdoom?

In all honesty, Pick which one suits you. but one of the best versions is GZdoom. and to any of those people that think: "ITS A VIRUS" No. Its not. its open source. Someone would notice its a virus.

Adding GZdoom

Adding

First of all. Adding. Now Adding software to your computer is very easy. So I'l explain it.

1. Download GZdoom[zdoom.org] . Use the GZdoom version since its
the most updated.
2. Once its downloaded, Extract GZdoom. this should open another folder, close the old folder and keep the new one open.
3. Download the Ultimate DOOM (if its not installed) then on the library (on the left) right click on Ultimate DOOM and click properties, in properties, locate "browse local files"
4. Go to the base folder, now, go to the extracted GZdoom folder window and copy everything thats in it. then place it into the Ultimate DOOM base folder.
5. Delete or rename DosBox.
6. Now locate GZdoom and rename it from: "GZdoom" to "dosbox"

Checking

Now make sure that you've done everything correctly and not just deleted all of DOOM.
Go open Ultimate DOOM and see if you get prompted with this:

Congrats!

You haven't blown up your PC or haven't messed things up!
now comes the fun part. Modding. now there are lots of mods, so you figure out which one you think its best for you!
