Report a translation problem
I kinda just gave up on that one, and followed the guide from that point to the X.
At the top is written 9# - which I guess is meant to represent '9 numbers'.
And the clue is to take the first 9 number words and digits on the page - INCLUDING ones that are part of a longer word !!
So: "The development of the grammophONE ... called the phonograph (see fig 2.) ... famed for having only THREE months ... Fig.2 ... to create the grammophONE in 1887.
Giving: ONE, 2, THREE, 2, ONE, 1,8,8,7.
And thereby 3 codes: 123 - 211 - 887.
It's pretty obtuse, to my mind, and only made sense to me AFTER I had seen it ;-). But anyway, there it is !
