Herb and mushroom spawn points

over the course of my playtime i have collected a lot of herbs and mushrooms. i took my time to go to every spawn location of herbs and mushrooms all over the map. haveing collected close to 15000 mushrooms. the respawns of these area's are randomized, i cleanpick the area's of every herb and mushroom possible to manipulate the spawn. respawn timer is 25 days in-game from when you pick them. hence cleanpicking the area as you then will clearly see when the area has fully respawned easyer.

shampoo and lotion crafted from the herbs sell for quite a bit, same for the mushroom dishes crafted with cooking. this has been a great source of in-come apart from selling dry planks, bark and woodchip crates.

Across the entire map there is 90 spawn points in total. it will take anywhere from 2-3 hours to cleanpick all these spawns, depending on where you start gathering and how much is in each spawn point. it's difficult to determine how much is in each area as some points collide with eachother creating a superspawn.

Finding a sheep mission, can and will either take you close or threw these area's as long as your driveing or walking/running. the spawn points are set locations. the herbs/mushrooms are randomized within the area itself. anything left inside the spawn area will be randomized into something else for the next cycle.

At start of a new year all herbs and mushrooms will respawn fully.april will allways have 2 cycle's of herb/mushroom as long as you pick it early enough within the 1st 5 days of the month.

The Best way to go around picking Herbs and mushrooms is by doing the find a sheep mission, as they will take you near and threw the majority of these spawns. also by doing these missions you will fill up your seed storage until the agricultural comes online.

As i've been collecting herbs and mushroom since the herbalism and cooking update got released. i know where the majority of these spawns are, so i tend to take detours when on a find a sheep mission as long as there is a active herb/mushroom cycle availeble. if it's not active i go directly for the sheep.

Herb/Mushroom spawn cycle averages

i have been gathering data from all the herb/mushroom cycle's i've done so far to determine their averages and benefits from makeing the lotion/shampoo and mushroom dishes from collecting herbs and mushrooms from the entire map.

Current averages are as follows:

10-20 mushrooms per spawn point. some area's may contain less or more then the averages say. reason is unknown as of now. total number of mushrooms from all the spawns tend to sit around 1000-1400 in total.

1-2 herbs per spawn point. on some occasions i encountered area's with 0 or more then 3 herbs in the same area. possibly due to overlapping spawn points that create superspawns of 2-3 area's overlapping eachother.

1-2 strawberry's per spawn point. also encountered area's with 0 of these as well. reason is unknown
spawns are all random some the strawberry may have turned into something else.

20-30 special herbs in total from all spawn points. special herbs are not guaranteed in every spawn as these are rare spawns which are not common. they will be in random spawn points across the entire map.

1-2 special herbs in the area's they spawn in. not guaranteed to be in every single one.

special herbs are Moonberry and Suntail. these will become availeble at a later stage in game. these are not pickable at the moment.

Added below are the numbers from the 7 cycle's i've gathered from the entire map. which is the total number of cycle's you'l have each year. further research will be done once the special herbs become availeble as it will give the full randomization data. to se if you realy can manipulate the spawns or it's just down to RNG.

Stuck Mushrooms can happen from time to time. it is a know bug and not much to do about it. but it's not a big loss in mushrooms compared to the grand toal you get from cleanpicking the spawns all over the map.

Cooking and and makeing potions with mushrooms and herbs

Benefits of cooking and crafting with herbs and mushrooms are as follows

crafting the shampoo and lotion from the herbs will net you 10000-15000 euro's extra each month with the amount of herbs that are availeble from the entire map. the spawns are randomized but notised the spawns tend to favor piccatillia which is used in crafting the lotion.

Shampoo requires berrynale and nightleaf and honey. buying honey from the stores around the map every day will make sure you have enough of honey as you don't get that much honey from the beehives at the moment.

Lotion Requires honey, Builis and Piccatillia to make.

10-15k may not sound like much each month but it quickly adds up as a side income. even thou it may take time to gather the herbs and it can become quite tedious and boring after a while. but in the end it's all worth it.

Cooking with mushrooms and vegetables grown in the greenhouse for any ofthe mushroom dishes will net you anywhere from 5000-7000 extra each month, depending if you plant the vegetables equally.

Getting around 200 of each vegetable required for the mushroom dish you deside to make will get net you 5000-7000 each month.


My Myshroom dishes of choise are Forester's Casserole and Red Mushroom casserole as the vegetables are easy to grow as we don't have a steady supply of milk until we get our cows along with the agricultural store. milk and eggs can be bought from some of the store's and Lili the herbalist.

respawn cycle is every 25 days after you pick em, so once a month apart from april, as the cycle is fresh from day 1, so you'l have 2 cycle's there if picked withen the 1st 5 days

You can find out easily yourself by just sleeping daily then check the grass behind your barn where the apple trees are. Just behind the trees is where you'll find the mushrooms and a variety of herbs.

I just come across this guide. Thank you. It's great for me as I can make more Foresters Casserole from the mushrooms and more potions from the herbs then sell for a good profit.

I made some extra money by selling pallet truck twice during mission. I sold it, and finished building. made 36 k x 2 , and now i can buy one with 40 k. :D

combining drying planks with shampoo and lotion crafting and cooking. 7 harvests of a full clear of herbs/mushroom will net you 60-70k in potions add the cooking dishes to it done properly thats another 30-40k so the grand total of 100k a year. as tedious and boreing it may be, it all pays off in the end. dry planks will net you roughly 30k a month and 180k a year. you will pay off the unlce within 2 years. keep on grinding.

mushroom and herb hunting in addition to fishing is my favorite thing to do at the moment including greenhouse of course. Not much else pays well enough with buyers of food dishes and potions while paying off Uncle Charles that 250k for the property. After second full season of time, I've managed to pay of 50k. First season I concentrated on lumber mill until I found out I could not buy the pallet truck. Thumbs down on that one. Ha!!!
