Intro
Murder Marathon is one of three game modes involving its own achievements and also being one of the most productive ways of weapon farming.
Without further ado, let me express several facts about this mode to make it a bit easier for you.

Achievements and how to get them
There are several achievements connected directly to this mode.

One involves getting total of 1000 kills throughout playing this mode. If you intend to get the achievements for 100 Bloodlust rank and different weapon types then this one will be done inevitably, since this mode is perfect for farming both.

The other achievements require getting at least several kills in a row (5, 10, 13, 20 and 30). Well, the only problematic one will be the 30 kills one. The problem is that the more kills you make in a run, the more often that "killzone" becomes pretty narrow, increasing your chance of missing it.
However, you may notice that the speed of the pointer is not constant; instead it increases while going from the left edge to the right edge and decreases while going back. Keeping that in mind may help you picking the right timing for hitting that "killzone" when it's located closer to either of the edges. But if it's placed in the center of the bar, balls on you — in this case you can only rely on your reaction.

If you're very desperate to get that 30 kill achievement and you don't mind cheating, just bump that kill counter with Cheat Engine.
Bloodlust ranks
If you manage to make enough kills in a run then you might fill the mask with enough blood to progress your Bloodlust ranking.
However, you should keep in mind that you can't get more than one rank in a run, no matter how many kills you make and how much blood you'll be rewarded with.

The optimal kill count to do is 14. It's just enough to fill the mask from the bottom (assuming it was empty). 15 and more will be redundant.
But what if you slip and get less? Here comes another trick: each kill you perform in a run costs more blood than the previous ones — this means, you can't fill a mask with 13 kills on one run, and then 1 kill on the next one.

Another thing to mention is the blood bonus from Mom's Head. It may or may not happen after any run which hasn't filled the mask yet. First, it always gives you the same blood amount. Second, the remainder of this bonus (unlike your base reward) actually proceeds to the next mask, if it's more than enough to fill the current one.

With that being said, here is the some info about the amount of kills on the second run required for filling the mask, depending on how many have you got before and assuming you're filling the mask from the bottom:
Kills on 1st run
Mom's bonus triggered
Kills on 2nd run
14
no more needed

If you can't make more than 10 kills, then you'll need to fill the mask in 3 runs or more.
Conclusions
Make no mistake: if you want to farm all possible weapons without spending a penny on lootboxes (there are some weapons which will require spending money anyway), you'll need A LOT of runs for that. I suggest turning on windowed mode and placing the game near the browser with some YouTube video or Netflix movie in it to watch during this farming process.

Sorry, I haven't thought that this program is known only in post-soviet countries :steamfacepalm:
Basically, it's a cheating software for editing game variables on the fly.
I'll probably edit the guide and replace it with Cheat Engine, as a more known alternative.
