Comparison between PvP and PvE servers in Garry's Mod Roleplaying
By The Unknown Writer (Busy)
So this a guide that's supposedly tell the difference between PvP and PvE servers in Garry's mod. Now some may wonder why I made this or are confused with the gameplay and what not. Hopefully this guide will assist you in such matters you'll understand.

Let's get started.

PvP
- PvP stands for: Player vs Player

- Common Servers like DarkRP are mostly PvP servers.

- Most, perhaps all PvP servers, stay on one map. For instance let's take DarkRP for example: They are on the rp_downtown map all the time.

- There are multiple roles you can pick, of course they have their set of rules as well. So keep that in mind. (Do note: there are certain things you can't interact unless you donate, this includes for some weapons, admin privileges, admin commands, role classes, that stuff)

- Since PvP servers are on one map and there's a multiple roles for you to pick, You can just do your own RP thing (As long you don't cause any conflicts with the server you're playing)

- All events are focused on one map, so no map changes
PvE
- PvE stands for: Player vs Environment

- Some PvE severs would be Military based, So RP servers such as Halo, Star Wars, Warhammer 40k, WW2 are prime examples.

- PvE servers have a RP map that is considered as their base map, so after a event occurs you'll be return to the base map.

- Unlike PvP, most RP players on PvE will only be put in one faction unless you have donated for accessing another faction.

- All RP players can choose a certain class for their characters after several events have passed and survived them successfully.

- There are two types of events PvE servers mostly run:

* Mission Event: These events will take place at area of the GM's (Gamemaster) choosing. During the start of the event, a announcement will occur in the server and it's server group (Discord or Steam Group, or both) by a admin officer. After the officer's briefing and all that, everyone will teleported to the event map where you'll take part of it. And yes, there are a series of objectives you must do like you were playing Call of Duty or something.

* Mini Event: These events would have a common objective, and be have few players taking part of the Mini Event in the base map. So say you want to go on a patrol and couple of others joined your temporary party, you'll go around parts of the map to search the area and well you get the idea.
Additional information I've forgotten to add
- In PvP If your RP character dies you must go with a new life. PvE servers follow this as well, but with a touch. So some PvE servers, the event Gamemaster catches your character dying, the Gamemaster will decide the fate of your character and whether your lives or dies will effect the RP event. Should your die and the GM deem it as a permanent death, you'll have either rename your character and it's description, or create a replacement entirely.

- As I stated before, each RP role has it's own set of rules. So in case someone falls to understand, if your character is a cop, you have do what a cop does: Protecting civilians and upholding the law. The character has it's restrictions as well, and a good RP player understands what restrictions their character is given and facing with.
In conclusion
- This look a bit long as I expected it to, but I did put what I could come up with on this guide at a acceptable state. So if you think I need to update or fix a mistake, type a comment down so I can see what I can do.

- If someone asks me why the PvE section is longer then PvP one, it's because I been around PvE servers a bit more then PvP servers so I processed all the information about both I've understand clearly.

- I might create a definition guide of RP terms
