Introduction

So you picked up this mod, but you may be wondering how to use him. Well, in this guide, I show you all the tech you need to know in order to master this character. So without further ado, GOTTA GO FAST!!!

The Basics

-Like in his games, holding down makes him roll u into ball form, which deals damage.
-Obviously, he's really fast, which allows for more freeform combos and kills.
-He's a monster to deal with.

Specials

Here are his specials:


Nspecial: Super Peelout- Sonic charges forwards to deal damage. Can be charged and is hard to stop, which leads to many, many, suicides. You can use it in the air to do a little airwalk that helps extend combos.

Fspecial: Flame Shield- He equips the Flame Shield and charges forwards. Does decent damage and sets opponents on fire. Great for horizontal recovery. Highly spammable.

Uspecial: Spring- Uses a spring to propel himself upwards. Goes really high and sends spring downwards while in the air, making for a solid kill option at the right percents.

Dspecial: Spindash- Sonic's signature move! Blasts forwards in ball form to deal damage. In the air it does the Drop Dash, which if you haven't played Sonic Mania or Sonic Forces, its a midair spindash that only activates when you touch the ground.

Strategies

-If you're a beginner, then I recommend spamming Fspecial and Dair.
-However, if you're a more advanced player, this character makes everyone in the cast combo food. His amazing speed combined with great frame data, great recovery, and lagless aerials and ground moves give a very vast amount of options. One good way to chop away those stocks is to use up-tilt and up-air as combo starters, as well as good kill setups.
-One thing that works really well is when you're in front of the opponent, you can moonwalk into a roll, which can also start combos and is all-around just a good offensive option.

Conclusion

With all these options at your disposal, this character will lead you to many victories. I highly recommend him and think you should give him a shot today. Just watch out for the occasional guy in casual online matches that also has him installed. The match becomes spamming Fspecial and nothing else.
