It's back.

The Past - What is the Ultimate Base Roster?

NBA 2K series have been a rich source for historical basketball content. NBA 2K11 had the Jordan mode, and NBA 2K12 has a bunch of great teams from 70's, 80's and 90's. The Ultimate 2K12 Mod project started on the NLSC modding forums as humble team releases which can be added to the game to play against the game's original retro teams - We were just adding some of our favorite squads to the game for our own enjoyment. Fast forward one and a half year, the UBR is now the most complete historical package basketball gaming has ever seen, continually updated by some 50~ contributors and praised by sports gaming websites such as NLSC and Operation Sports.

For various technical reasons, the team decided not to port the Ultimate Base Roster to the 2K13. But this year, the UBR is back - in full force.

The Present - UBR 2K14

Now that we're done with the history lesson, let's see what this mod presents:

• 44 complete NBA Seasons, starting from the 1969-1970 season - That's every NBA season from 1970 to our day, complete with accurate player faces, ratings, jerseys and courts, waiting for you to play in association mode.
  
• The Ultimate Base Roster - The current NBA roster updated with 290+ teams from various years and all USA olympic teams. The perfect fix for quick play.
  
• The All-Star Mod - Wanted to see how 1993's all-stars fared up against this year's? Now you can.
  
• All Time Legends - The best players that ever played for a team, now on the same roster.

All this in one neatly organized mod package which DOES NOT overwrite your regular game - Switching to and from UBR is as easy as a roster load.

Note: Not everything has been converted from 2K12 yet, so you may see some missing faces here and there - but the team is working relentlessly to bring everything in the upcoming updates. You can check the progress here[192.186.195.96].

How to download it?

You can download the mod pack from our website:

Go to the download section for 2K14 - You'll see the package in 5 different parts there. The first 3 parts are the base mod files which you have to download for only once and then you can forget about them. Parts 4 and 5 will be updated for every new release.

After downloading each part make sure to read the "README.PDF" file located in the zip file if you need help installing.

You will need to place all of the contents from Parts 1, 2, and 3 into your Main NBA2K Folder.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\NBA2K14 (NOT THE SAVES FOLDER)

After downloading Part 5 make sure to read the "README.PDF" file located in the zip file.

You will need to place all of the contents from Part 5 into your SAVES Folder.
C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K14\Saves

Then open the game and load the “UltimateBaseRoster” or any other season roster you would like.
