How to play Portal Stories: VR with Oculus

I love the Portal games, so as soon as I got my Rift S I downloaded this game. However, upon playing it, I would spawn in the floor making the game unplayable. Finding an answer to this problem was harder than it should have been so I’ve decided to make a quick guide to get you into the game.

how to do stuff.

First off, you will need to open the games files. You can do this manually through the File Explorer (It should be under \Steam\steamapps\common\Portal Stories VR), or by right clicking the game in your library, going to manage and selecting browse local files. You should see two files and an application called Lift.

If you see all of this, good job. Next up, select and right click on the Lift application and open properties. Go to the compatibility tab and under Compatibility mode choose Windows 7. Finally, apply and open Lift. If you followed along correctly then you should be able to play the game. FEEL ACCOMPLISHED!!!

when i load it it just crashes please help

for some reason i tried alot of things and nothing worked (was using steam link on quest 3)
using a link cable completely fixed the error for me so i think steam link breaks the game

"UNrEal ErRoR" if you're on quest 2 run it through the meta quest link app and it'll fix the error.
