This is my first serius guide . I don't speak English and for now my level is quite low. Most of this guide was done with a translator. Sorry for the grammatical mistakes

I made this guide with all the love in the world for people who want to start in the world of personalized profiles. Good Luck!

NOTE: Spend 24 hours on this guide. I used photoshop and also the element modifier, screenshots in lightshot. Various profiles were used and several people were interviewed. This guide is intended to be as dynamic as possible.

0) The Basics

● How to get Showcases

Every 10 levels you have on Steam you will earn 1 Profile Showcase. In addition, you can choose from your articles what you want to show. That allows you a lot of flexibility when it comes to editing your profile and improving your style!

There are several ways to obtain levels on steam: years of service, number of games acquired, contributions to the community, being a candidate for certain betas, etc.

In this guide we will show you the best way to achieve levels

● Best ways to lvl up

Earn XP with cheapest Crafting Badges

The fastest way to level up is with Trading Card Sets. You earn 100 XP per set you Craft into a Badge

The cheapest and best way to level up, is to see the list of the cheapest cards, and then buy them. What many level collectors hide from you is there are pages to see the cheapest cards on the steam market

www.steamcardexchange.net is a page which contains in real time the list of the cheapest trading cards on steam, you should go check it



As you realized, you can buy stickers for absurdly cheap prices.

You can always do this, but having a higher level on Steam means you have spend more money and time into your profile. Which will make this task more and more tedious.


Steamrep[steamrep.com] is a page where you can report and find out the reputation of a user or bot it also contains quite good tips to avoid being scammed.

All my life I used bots to level up on my steam profile. When you are high level in steam you are forced to have to use bots to buy cards or it would take hours to want to go up a level, but still be careful with fraudulent exchanges.

LVL UP bots in the Steam community are very famous. in exchange for keys to certain games. They will give you a number of badges or "sets" which will facilitate your work to achieve a faster level for having to spend a little more money in the process.

Once you get your ideal profile background, buy it from the steam market and get to work!

● Design your profile

➀ Once you have your profile background. Look it in your steam inventory.

➁ Once you find it, click "view full size"



➂ Now copy the link of the image in full size. This will help you later to design the profile

➃ Once you know what the background you are going to use, go to the steam.design[steam.design] this page will help you to design your profile perfectly



➄ Now paste the link that you copied on the page, as you can see a preview of what the background would look like on your profile was created. Click the "download images" button to download the templates to be able to make your profile according to your background



Now with these templates we can start with the next section. Edit your profile picture

● Avatar + Ideas

⚠️Your profile photo must be a very important photo because it will be the first image that the person who enters your profile will see! if you think about what to do. This time I am going to show you different ways to create your ideal profile picture⚠️

1. PNG image on background idea

Find a photo with a transparent background for your profile photo, it can be a character or a logo.



Now place your character on the profile background to create a profile picture for your steam based on the background you chose

2. Search an image according to your color palette

For this idea look for your color palette, in this case I choose one with violet and blue backgrounds. In the internet search engine I will search for "vaporwave anime" and you will get a photo according to the color

● InfoBox & Summary + Ideas

Your profile information is important. There is a lot of flexibility. You can use it to promote your art or to tell something about yourself, the possibilities are endless

Note: To get the showcase "infobox" you have to be level 10 or higher, the summary is completely free and can be obtained at the beginning of your steam account





TIP: Use invisible text "⠀⠀⠀⠀" to center your text, you can copy and paste it whenever you want;)

The best way to give life to your infobox is by using text formatting

Are many symbols on your keyboard, you don't have to pay anything to use them. Here are some!

● About the "aesthetic" names

Important: Your profile name can be edited in several ways to give it more life. But doing so will make it more difficult for others to find your profile

2) Medium Level

● Artwork

The artwork is the main attraction of your profile, creating one can be easy or difficult depending on the effort or how perfectionist you are with it. So maybe the "Artwork" should actually enter in the advanced level.

IMPORTANT:

Due to the complexity of creating artworks. In this guide I am going to give you links to videos so that the explanation is easier. Currently creating an artwork is complex enough to write with words. In the next section we will show you how to upload an artwork

Remember, to do this. You need your profile background template. which you downloaded in the previous step "design your profile" of the guide. The specific files are:

6. Hiring an artist

● Upload Artwork

Now you finally have to upload your artwork. But suddenly you realize you have trouble uploading it.
We will teach you what to do in this guide.
From learning how to upload it, to optimizing your artwork if the weight is too big

1. Easy way, download the steam.design[steam.design] extension

Download and install the steam.design extension


Then go to screenshots, and from there select the "Artworks" tab





Now upload your artwork. an extra button will appear on steam that says "upload as long image" and now you could upload your artwork!

2. Hard way, use commands

When uploading an artwork. use control + c and go to the command prompt. Then type this command and upload the artwork!

Optimize GIF

Is your artwork too heavy? you can optimize it!

Important: if your artwork weighs more than 35 mb you will not be able to optimize it. In that case you can try to download the frames in After Effects or remove colors.

Enter the page "ezGIF[ezgif.com]"



Upload your gif in the "optimize gif" section.



Now select the compression level until the file reaches 8 mb, if it reaches a size smaller than 8 mb it will load faster on your profile page but it will look worse

Visual trick that I currently use: Instead of using a 60 fps Artwork you can make a 30 fps artwork and then increase the speed in "EzGIF" it will look like a fluid Artwork despite being a visual trick

● Groups

If you want to improve your profile you can join a group of the same range of colors of your current profile

You can create your own group to give an artistic touch to your profile. The possibilities are infinite only creativity is needed

● Badges

If you want to have a VERY AESTHETIC TRULY profile, you will need a badge that matches the color or theme of your profile. Below I will leave you some guides with a list of pretty good badges

At the basic level I explained how to make a good avatar. I also showed you some ideas of how your avatar looks. As you can see in those photos the badge matches with the profile color style

The latest 4 badges that an user acquires will be shown on the right side of the first showcase and this cannot be changed. Your game collector badge will update itself and ruin your badge set. One way to prevent this is to get the badge set last, when everything else on your profile is finished or to acquire enough games so that the game collector badge is in the same color as your profile´s primary color.

● Guides showcase

You can create guides for your showcase. There are people in the community who don't like

● Games Showcase

You can buy games that match your color palette to put on the Game Showcase.
Note: if you want to give a unique touch to your profile you can use the secret valve apps. These will give a unique or glitchy effect to your profile

3) Hard Level

● Achievements

You can use your achievements to make your profile better aesthetically. You can write your name with achievements or just use the same range of colors. There are several games called "achievement collector" where you can get many achievements to order your profile

● Aesthetic Screenshot Showcase

Although you can use your screenshots of the games to combine the range of colors. You can also upload custom screenshots to make your profile better

Just try uploading an Artwork to Steam but before uploading it press control + c and go to "console"

Tip: you can use "EZGIF" to resize a gif and thus be able to cut it

Maybe you could find a gif. Resize it to 606 x 442 and then cut it into 2 parts, one with 506 x 442 (main) and the other with 100x442 (right top)

● Workshop Steam Showcase

● Mosaicon

If you can afford it economically. You can buy emotes to make a "mosaticon" which basically means a mosaic of emoticons

Steam Tools[steam.tools] contains a specific tool to create your own mosaic. You will need to enter with your steam account to verify what emoticons you have in your account and later you can go on to draw your mosaic

If your level contains "00" it will be grey



If contains "10" it will be red



if contains 20 it will be orange



if contains 30 it will be yellow



if contains 40 it will be green

if contains 70 it will be pink



if contains 80 will get a dull purple



if contains 90 it will be brown

● CREATE YOUR OWN GAME

OK. You think I'm crazy and that in reality the guide lost all its seriousness. Actually it is not so much, you can ask a novice developer to make you part of their project and therefore you yourself can design your own background for your profile. It sounds insane but thanks to that you could have your own achievements and your own background. This would cost you +100 usd if you would do it from 0
