Shenmue II - Ghost Hall Building Plank Guide

This is a walk through for the Ghost Hall Building in Shenmue 2.

Introduction to the Ghost Hall Building

The Ghost Hall building is a 10 story decrepit building in Kowloon's Thousand White Quarter. Years of neglect have left huge gaping holes in the floors of the structure. You must cross these holes with wooden planks to get to the Five Stars Corp office located on the tenth floor.

There are 8 planks to cross in the ghost hall building, 3 of which you can skip. If you fail a QTE sequence, the game will respawn you on the ground floor of the building you are currently in. Stepping too close to any of the ledges will trigger a randomized QTE sequence.



The first section of this guide will walk you through on skipping the Fourth and Seventh floors. Each section after goes over the QTE sequences of each floor.

Skipping the fourth and seventh floors

Skip this section if you do not want to save time and want to start from the fourth floor.

Once inside the Ghost hall building, go straight through the fence opening and through the hallway next to the homeless resident.

At the end of the hallway turn right and proceed into the God of Wealth Building.



Make your way forward through the ruins until you reach a staircase with the entrance to the Black Heaven Building next to it.

Go up the staircase in the God of Wealth Building until you reach the 5th floor. Walk forward and through the wall opening to your right.



You will find a plank that you will need to use to reach the other side to get back into the Ghost hall building.

As you walk to the plank a randomized QTE may trigger.

God of Wealth Building Plank:

Once you are on the other side of the plank, proceed through the Ghost Hall Building entrance to your right. Proceed through the hallway and up the staircase to the 8th floor. Just four more planks to go!

Fourth Floor

Skip this section if you followed the first section of this guide.

Once inside the building, take the elevator to the third floor and climb the stairs to the fourth floor. The stairs to the fifth floor is gated off. Take the hallway to your right, where you will find the first plank to cross.

Tenth Floor

The tenth floor is the hardest and will give you very little time to react. You can spam the buttons before they display on the screen to ensure you do not miss them. If you want to be extra safe, save before starting each plank.
