GO HOME Walkthout Guide + Secrets

A guide that will hopefully help some people finish the game + some secrets I found.
(This is my first guide I'm sorry if it's not the best.)

The Shrine

The game starts In the shrine. Nothing much happens here, just remember to cross the street on the green light.

The Neiborhood

The goal of this stage is to get to your apartment. It's in a yellow building on the third floor, you can point to it using the [Q] button.
There are two enemies: Cloudia (the ghost girl) and The Dog.
If you want to get to the next level you need to step on the manhole behind the building, it will teleport you to the roof. Go down the staircase, on the right is your house.

The Apartment

This stage is a bit complicated.
First, go to the room with sliding doors, when you come in the lights will go out. Go back to your room and play the red piano, after encountering the pianist you need to go up the TV in the living room, it will say something along the lines of:

"A truck and a car were in an accident.
mother has died.
daughter is in the hospital."

Wait for the news report to end, then the painting next to the kitchen will start glowing, touch it and a happy mask on the desk in your room will appear. Go to the room with the sliding doors and touch the piano. The crybaby (the weird meat looking thing that screams) will appear, stab it [with right mouse button]. After you do that go up to the fish tank in the same room.
The fish will say "ここは君の家じゃない" which means "this is not your house". Then Cloudia will come into the house, she will come into every room except the kitchen. Go there and wait for the Hannya person to go to the front door and follow her. Then you will leave the apartment and progress to the next stage.

Back to the Shrine

After you leave the apartment and go down the staircase you'll meet the Pianist. Unlike Cloudia she won't look for you but will chase you if she sees you.
Another new ghost is That Man. He won't notice you if you're crouching [CTRL]. Cloudia and the Dog are also present.
Use the manholes to teleport away, don't step on a manhole when it's red.

The Dream

Don't get hit by the fish, get to the stairs before the beat drops and get to the top. When you get dropped to the bridge run up to the lantern and stand next to it. A piano will transport you to the next part. As you are moving a crybaby will appear, make sure to attack it. When the piano stops it will flip twice, jump to not get thrown off. After that another crybaby will appear, you know what to do. Then Cloudia will start running at you, doge and you'll be fine.
You're going to be teleported to the weird thing that was on the playground. Follow the arrows and you'll find a manhole, step on it. You will be teleported to the apartment building, follow the arrows and step on manholes. You will be teleported to the roof and wait.
Then you are going to find yourself on a giant Cloudia, wait a few seconds and a cutscene will play.

帰る

The girls older self jump over the railing. She says "こい しょち" which means "car".
Go to the shrine and pray, then go back. A cutscene will play:

Even if you're afraid of the memories fading away,

Even if you don't have anyone to hold your hand,

it's okay if you know the warmth of tears.

Come on, let's go home.

After the girl says "帰る" which means "go home"

Secrets

All of those secrets I either found myself or saw in ManlyBadassHero's video.

If you click [C] you'll go into first person mode.



After you escape Cloudia and teleport away from her husing the manhole go right, up to the brick fence and jump. A griffin will appear and take you up to the roof.




I can't really point out the exact location but there are small cracks between the walls In the neighborhood. Most of them go nowhere except one where there is a big secret piano.



If teleport threw the same manholes multiple times you'll see yourself and then turn into your older self.
Also, Cloudia can't kill you if you while you are your older self.



If you go down the staircase and touch the fallen body the crybaby will appear.

After you encounter the pianist and teleport away you'll see the griffin that helped you before.




If you step on the manhole the pianist was on all the ghosts in the game will appear and chase you.



In the last stage, you can meet talk your yunger self at your apartment's door. The older girl says "ここ は もう 君 の 家 じゃない" which means "This is not your home anymore".




I'm not really sure about this one but I think you get different credits when you beat the game a second time. I found the video while looking into the game's files under the name "ED".
