The Before Playing Configuration Guide

This is a SUPER QUICK and EASY guide for solving the basic technical problems when starting to play Titan Quest Immortal Throne.
(All the links provided here were already posted somewhere inside the discussions, but I thought it would be a good idea posting something more practical and less time consuming)

The Before Playing Configuration Guide
Even before installing the game, if you live in europe, you need to set the game's language throught it's properties in the steam library. So it's properties>language on the top bar.

First of all: newbies and oblivious fans meet the fan patch! This will resolve almost, if not all, the remaing bugs that were left squashing in the last official TQIT patch by the long deceased Iron Lore. The installation is automatic and steam allows it 100%. Personally I also noticed an increase in Hero monsters apprearances and drop rate of rare and unique items. (Or I just might have been unlucky in the first couple of hours before installing it I don't know) It would be nice if more players playing online had this installed so that EVERYONE could access ANY session.
Just remember that it needs Titan Quest: Immortal Throne to install it.

Now if you have tried creating an Online game your game might, who am I kidding, it must have crashed when your clicked the "Refresh" button on the Top Left Corner of the window. To solve this, just copy paste this dll file on Steam/steamaaps/common/Titan Quest Immortal Throne and you should be set.

Happy questing, slaughtering and looting!

Disclaimer:
This method is only applyable to Windows 7/8, XP should have no problems since the game was made for it. Windows 10 hasn't been tested yet. If someone directs me to another guide that handles other problems such as missing executables and skins/meshes I'll gladly update the guide to have those links.

Sorry :\ I have no knowledge on how to fix that issue.

So I installed the game and the patch. I read another post that mentioned that sometime you have to delete some of the resource files before running the patch. I did that after the patch install. I used some of the mod codes for gaining access to the skins vendor and got the error with the blue and yellow checker board pattern. I uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and the patch, but now I don't have any access to those vendors, do you know of any fixes to this issue with the patch? Is this a known issue?

Sorry Abster I have no idea. It seems to depend from computer to computer. Boot up the game and see if you need to.

Many thanks for making this guide. Good thing I saw this. I make it a habit to check up on comminity guides before starting any new game. I've now patched my game as suggested. I'd have missed this update if not for the guide. Cheers.

EDIT: With these patches/fixes installed, do I still need to do what this guide mentions? "how to make the fanpatch skins work with the steam Version of TQIT" or is it already done with this patch?

TITAN QUEST INMORTAL THRONE IS AN EXPANSION .
YOU NEED TO HAVE TITAN QUEST INSTALLED .
do not try to run "titan quest inmortal throne" without "titan quest" installed.
if you try you will bee given a message from windows.

With old games like Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate (not the hd ones), for me, one of the problems was due to the computer's resolution which was easily solved by lowering it. Maybe it could have something to do with extra unnecessery features like 3d, althought I highly doubt it (doesn't hurt trying though) Good luck!

EuDragon have you tried updating your graphic card's drivers and or uninstalling and installing DirectX? Have you checked if the game is in your antivirus's exception list?
