Glass Infusion Strategy
By red_sparky dragon_force
This is a simple strategy I created for beating Risk Of Rain that has been used to achieve success multiple times.

Very quick summary
Activate the glass and command artifacts, and pick up a ton of infusions from uncommon boxes.
How to get the glass artifact
The glass artifact is one of two artifacts that is essential to this strategy. Below I have listed a simple explanation on how to unlock it.

On the left side of the map, while climbing to the top or dropping to the bottom, you may notice an irregular spot in the side of the wall. If you walk into the spot, you will find that you go right through it and into a secret room.

In this room, there are five buttons. If you hit a button, it will turn on for about fifteen seconds. If all five buttons are on at the same time, the glass artifact will appear in the easy-to-find artifact gate at the very bottom left corner of the map, which you can also fall to from the secret room.
How to get the command artifact
The command artifact is the other essential artifact to this strategy.

At the very top right of the corner of the Hive Cluster, there is a chance for the command artifact to appear.

Between the artifact and the closest place you can stand, there are numerous pink vines that will alter between being visible, and invisible. Note that you can still climb the vines while they are not visible.

In order to reach the artifact, you will need to jump and climb from vine to vine until you reach the upper right corner.

This can sometimes be very difficult to do, so I recommend attempting this when you have at least one jumping item such as a hoopoo feather or a photon jetpack, either of which alone will make collecting the artifact a lot easier.
The Glass Infusion Strategy
First, you will need to activate the glass and command artifacts before starting a run.

I also recommend activating the Kin artifact before starting so you won't need to face a boss until you reach the end of the game, which is helpful because even if you collect an infusion item quickly, you won't have very much health while facing the first boss, who will then be able to kill you very quickly.

After you start, you will need to obtain at least one infusion item, and preferably several.

Below is what an uncommon box looks like with the command artifact activated.

When one of these boxes is dropped, you get to open it and choose one of any uncommon item in the game.

Below is what the infusion item looks like. It might appear like a wrench when the image is small, but the item is actually a vial filled with what we can presume to be blood.
You will need to obtain at least one infusion as soon as possible, which can be done by selecting it after opening an uncommon box. Preferably however, you should collect several infusions as to improve the effectiveness of this strategy.

To the left is also the Bitter Root, an item found in common (white) boxes that increases your maximum health by 8%. This will increase your hp by several hundred when you have thousands of hit points.
How the strategy works
When the glass artifact is activated, it will greatly increase the damage that you deal, while also greatly decreasing the amount of health you have. The big damage that you deal makes defeating enemies a lot easier, but the downside of very little health also makes it very easy for you to die.

To counteract the downside of low health, this simple strategy has you collect the infusion item because the infusion item increases your maximum health whenever you defeat an enemy, which increases your maximum health by larger quantities when you have multiple infusions.

The command artifact is necessary because normally, the items you obtain from chests and enemies are randomized, which would make it unlikely each time for you to wind up with the infusion. But with the artifact, you can choose which item you get and therefore pick the infusion specifically.

Following this strategy, you can wind up fighting the final boss with up to 9999 health points, with your damage multiplied.

Above is some footage of me and a friend fighting RoR's final boss after using the glass infusion strategy. The boss seemed to get some automated buffs to counteract how insanely powerful we were, but we still wiped the floor with him.

You can see at the bottom that we have the Glass and Command artifacts activated, and that I had 9999 hp while my friend had almost 7000. It's also visible that we reached the end after 90 minutes, and the game becomes extremely difficult in half that time, so you can imagine how we fared against the other enemies and bosses on the way.
