Ultio's Painkiller Hell and Damnation 100% Achievement Guide

This guide aims to help you unlock all 107 achievements. It will be separated in two sections : Single-Player and Multiplayer achievements. I won't go as far as detail walkthrough but I'll do my best to guide you.

General tips

Jack of All Trades Deck

Here's my tarot card deck, didn't change it once from Nightmare to Trauma difficulty and didn't die much :
Gold 1 : FURY
Gold 2 : RAGE
Gold 3 : DEXTERITY
Silver 1 : 666 AMMO
Silver 2 : HEALTH REGENERATION

Campaign Achievements (Non-DLC) Part 1

Story Achievements

This section contain the achievements in the order you should unlock them.

Tutorial

Haste
Tutorial: Destroy all objects (Solo Campaign)

During the second part of the tutorial, you'll be faced with 6 chests, just obliterate them.

Chapter I

Cemetery

Endurance
Cemetery: Beat the level (Solo Campaign)

Kill, checkpoint, kill, checkpoint etc... the end. Unmissable.

Cathedral

Speed
Cathedral: Collect 330 pieces of gold dropped by enemies (Solo Campaign)

Equip the Painkiller as soon as you see it, kill enemies with it then use the alternative fire on their lifeless body (2/3 hits) and they will drop gold rings. This way, you'll reach 330 pieces of gold quickly.

Vitality
Cathedral: Collect 500 gold (Solo Campaign)

Since gold drops from ennemies count, you'll just have to destroy enough destructibles to get at least 170 pieces of gold.

Atrium Complex

Soul Keeper
Atrium Complex: Finish level in under 7:00 (Solo Campaign)

This one may be a bit tricky, I've finished it under 7:00 by using the Shotgun and the Grenade Launcher (Stake Gun's Alt Fire mapped to "Shift").

Enclave

Blessing
Enclave: Kill Necrogiant in under 2:00 (Solo Campaign)

I'd suggest leaving this achievement for the second playthrough (Trauma), once you unlocked all tarot cards. With my "Jack of All Trades" Deck, I just activated my gold card and spammed Stake Gun's primary fire, finished it in 00:30.

Grave Digger
Solo Campaign: Finish 1st chapter

Kill big boy. Unmissable.

Chapter II

Opera

Double Haste
Opera: Collect 100 souls (Solo Campaign)

Self-explanatory. I'd suggest mapping the Soul Catcher's alternative fire to "CTRL" so you'll be able to collect souls from afar.

Dark Soul
Opera: Find all secret areas (Solo Campaign)

Train Station

Soul Catcher
Trainstation: Cut limbs of 100 enemies using Soul Catcher (Solo Campaign)

Kill bad guys with Soul Catcher's primary fire. I'd suggest using it from the first second of this level until you get the achievement. Then exterminate what's left of them with the minigun.

Alastor Tower

Triple Haste
Alastor: Kill Alastor in under 5:00 (Solo Campaign)

During my first playthrough (Nightmare) I was able to do it under 05:00 without the best tarot cards.
Walkthrough :

• First stage : get the armor and ammos then as soon as you see him shoot him, he will destroy the first floor.
  
• Second stage : rush to the health power up then shoot him then he will destroy the second floor.
  
• Last stage : Shoot him until he goes into regeneration, at this point destroy as many statues as you can, repeat until he's down for good !

Penthouse Down
Finish 2nd chapter

Campaign Achievements (Non-DLC) Part 2

Chapter III

Oriental Castle

Soul Redeemer
Oriental Castle: Collect all Holy Items (Solo Campaign)

This one has been a pain for me, check this video. Credits to Davey's Gaming.

Time Bonus
Oriental Castle: Gib 123 enemies (Solo Campaign)

You may use either to kill enemies:

• Shotgun : alternative fire then primary fire
  
• Minigun's Rocket Launcher go boom

Orphanage

Iron Will
Orphanage: Gib 50 frozen enemies (Solo Campaign)

For this one just use your shotgun's alternative fire to freeze the enemies, wait 2 seconds so they are completely frozen then explode them into pieces with your shotgun's primary fire.

Greed
Orphanage: Kill all monsters (Solo Campaign)

For this one make sure to look around every place and don't let the monsters in bags explode themselves, they.Here's a list of number of kills you should have when the red arrow appears. If not, reload last checkpoint.

• First checkpoint : 43

Shoot the big bubbles as soon as he walks past them, the explosion makes him vulnerable to damages. I'd suggest using the Jack of all Trades Deck.

Divine Intervention
Loonypark: Possess 25 enemies using Soul Catcher (Solo Campaign)

For this one you have to use the Soul Catcher's alternative fire to capture souls. Once it is charged (all green), use alternative fire + primary fire on a large group of ennemies. Use it from the start of the level).

Fury
Loonypark: Kill 3 monsters in a row using saw blade (Solo Campaign)

Align 3 ennemies and shoot (I'd suggest the clowns as they are oneshootable.

Colosseum

Replenish
Colloseum: Morph into demon 3 times (Solo Campaign)

Take your time to collect the souls and morph a total of 3 times. I'd advise not to kill during demon mode some you'll get more souls ASAP.

Double Time Bonus
Colloseum: Pick up every ammo box (Solo Campaign)

Factory: Kill 30 enemies in demon mode (Solo Campaign)

Easy enough, collect 66 souls (or 50 if you equip the Dark Soul tarot card) then kill 30 of them in demon mode.

Finish special Halloween map and collect all lollipops for Lucipher

Self-explanatory, collect all lollipops, look everywhere and destroy every Pumpkin you see, they may contain one lollipop.

Painkiller Hell & Damnation: City Critters DLC

Pentagon

Hamster
Collect all ammo on Pentagon map (solo campaign)

You can unlock this achievement without completing the level, just collect all ammo boxes in the five spots and you should unlock it.

Painkiller Hell & Damnation: Demonic Vacation at the Blood Sea DLC

Holy Sheet
Collect all holy items on Monastery map (solo campaign)

Destroyer
Destroy all objects on Ruins map (solo campaign)

Graveyard

I ain't afraid o' no ghost
Discover how to summon Ghostship

At the start of the level, you'll see a barrel and a canon. Move the barrel next to the cannon and shoot it.

Medical Supply
Let them burn: Destroy all 3 ambulances

While you're kicking some a**es in this level, you'll see three ambulances trying to crush you. Just shoot and avoid them (they should be on fire). This cheevo unlocks right after the third ambulance.

Charged
Use 5 electric sparks under 20 seconds during boss fight

At the end of the level, when the boss appears don't kill him yet. Collect all 5 electric sparks ASAP in the cemetery then shoot him down.

Undertaker
Finish the Graveyard

Big boy go down.

Town

Castle Break
Kill all the castle guards.

Pope Up
Solve the pope puzzle.

City Lights
Make your way through the Town

Go through the portal at the end of the level.

Babel

Merciful
Don't kill any zombies while solving the puzzles

There will be two puzzles. Step on the pressure plate, leave and a zombie should pop. Don't kill it. Instead, get him on the pressure plate as he follows you and freeze him with the shotgun's alternative fire. Repeat operation with the second puzzle but there will be 3 zombies, freeze two of them as they get on a pressure plate.

Fireproof
Avoid any burns on Fire Plate Puzzle

As you go on through the level you'll be facing two Fire Plate Puzzles. Some plates will go down sometimes, wait for the perfect window to cross it and don't get burned. If you do, reload last checkpoint.

Bin Garner
Kill final enemy on Babel

The description is incorrect. Just go through the portal at the end of the level.

Angkor

Flipper
Flip all 16 columns.

Shoot every column you see, at the end of the level, shoot the last ones and the achievement should pop !

DYI
Finish 3rd arena without using MonkTrap.

Stay away from the monk statue in the third arena. If you get too close to it, it will spawn a portal with lightnings killing ennemies, if it does, reload last checkpoint.

Stoned
Defeat the Stone Golem on Angkor

Kill the Stone Golem at the end and the cheevo should pop.

Pentagon

Tank Killer
Beat the tank hordes on Pentagon

This will unlock as soon as you kill the last enemy and go through the portal.

Painkiller Hell & Damnation: Full Metal Rocket DLC

No cheevos here.

Conclave
Select your own Pope in Conclave level

Self-explanatory, have one of the Pope killed.

Doctor
Beat the Fragenstein challenge in solo survival mode

Survive for 05:00.

Factorize
Beat the Factory challenge in solo survival mode

Get 300 kills on this map.

Beat the City on Water challenge in solo survival mode.

This section will show the achievements in alphabetical order.

4x4 (4 players required)
Play with at least 4 other people and collect 4 frags more than any of your enemies

Play any DM map with 3 boosting partners, set max frag to 4 and gather 4 kills.

Best of the Best (2 players required)
Win Team Deathmatch with the highest score in your team

Self-Explanatory.

Employee of the month (2 players required)
Win Survival killing at least 2 times more monsters than your rivals

Play any Survival map with one boosting partner and set kill count to 3, kill 3 enemies (your partner shouldn't kill any of them).

Frag'n'Stein (2 players required)
Win Deathmatch match on Fragenstein

Play any DM map with 1 boosting partner, set max frag to 1 and kill your friend.

I have friends (Solo-able)
Play 10 different levels in cooperative mode

Complete 10 different levels through Campaign => Coop Mode => Create Coop Game. (Can be done solo or with friends).

Illuminati (2 players required)
Win survival game on Illuminati

With a boosting partner, go in Multiplayer, choose Game Type "Survival" and select the map "BOSS AUDIENCE ILLUMINATI", set Frag Limit to 1 then get one kill in-game.

Insolent (2 players required)
Get 30 kills in 3 minutes in Deathmatch mode

Play "UNSEEN" DM map with 1 boosting partner, stay at the center of the map as your friend rushes to you to get killed everytime he respawns. 30 times. Be fast for this one.

Last moment (2 players required)
Win Capture The Flag by bringing the flag to your base in last 10 seconds of the game

Play any CTF map with a boosting partner, grab the enemy flag then wait in front of your base until the timer goes under 00:10 and go drop that flag.

Malicious (Solo-able)
Don't let any of your enemies collect Quad Damage

1. This one can be done solo, in MP choose DM map "FORBIDDEN HD" and set time limit to 1 minute
2. When you're in, go on the bridge then take the blue skull and wait
3. ????
4. Profit

Psycho
Win deathmatch game on Psycho

With a boosting partner load DM Map "PSYCHO DLC 1", set kill count to 1 and kill your friend.

Robber
Bring enemy flag to your base

Self-explanatory

Sport Season
Capture 3 flags playing as Eve in one game

Choose Eve in player settings, load any CTF map and score 3 times (requires a boosting partner).

Surgeon
Play cooperative level and don't let your partner die

With a boosting partner create a coop game, I'd suggest you host the "Enclave" level, should take you less than 01:00 to kill the boss with Jack of All Trades deck. Just don't die.

Untouched
Don't die and win multiplayer game

Win a MP game without dying.

Optimized way to complete all MP achievements

Here's one optimized way to get all achievements in 6 game sessions :

• First session (Sport Season, Robber, Untouched, Best of the Best and Last moment) : Set your player as Eve then launch a MP CTF map (suggestion : UNSEEN HD), set time to 2 minutes and one of you capture 2 flags, then wait for the last 10 seconds to bring the 3rd one to the base. This way it should unlock all 5 cheevos.
  
• Second Session (Insolent and Psycho) : Launch MP DM map, set time to 4 minutes, set respawn time to 0 then kill the other player 30 times. Be fast for this one (Bunnyhopping strongly advised for the helper).
  
• Third session (Frag'n'Stein) : Launch MP DM map, set kill count to 1, kill the other player.
  
• Fourth session (Illuminati and Employee of the month) : Launch MP Survival map, set kill count to 3 and kill three enemies (the other player shouldn't get any kill).
  
• Fifth session (4x4) : Launch a MP DM map, set time to 1 minute and respawn time to 0, get 4 kills.
  
• Last session (Surgeon) : Play a fast boss level ("Enclave" level), make sure you both don't die and it should be done.

Misc. Achievements

This section will show the achievements in alphabetical order.

Adventurer
Solo Campaign: Find 25 secret areas

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements. If not, complete any level with easily accessible secret areas, find them then repeat if necessary.

Barrel hater
Destroy 300 barrels

Self-explanatory, barrels go boom !

Demon Kangaroo
Spend 666 seconds on bunny-hopping

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements.

Farmer
Solo Campaign: Collect 2012 pieces of gold from fallen enemies

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements.

Five Points
Kill 5 enemies with one rocket

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements.

Ghost
Finish level without being hurt

I'd suggest you to load the Enclave level with the Jack of all trades deck. When the map starts, activate your cards and use the Stake Gun to kill the boss while moving. Don't forget about the skeleton that'll come to you.

Hygienic
Keep the hit ratio above 90% in whole level

For this one, load the tutorial level and when you're at the second part, collect the Stake Gun and shoot all incoming enemies. If you miss, reload checkpoint.

Jumping Death
Kill 256 enemies when bunnyhopping

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements. Just use bunny hop.

Mass Chopper
Gib 500 enemies entirely with rockets

Use Minigun's primary fire... monsters go boom.

Mountebank
Kill 123 enemies with combo damage

I'd suggest you to to do this with the Painkiller weapon. Use primary fire to spin the blade then click secondary fire to launch the blade.

Militarist
Collect 40 armors

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements.

Mirror Effect
Kill enemy at the same time he kills you

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements.

Name of the Beast
Kill 666 enemies with Soul Catcher

Equip the Soul Catcher weapon then kill enemies with the saw blade.

Neighbor of the Beast
Collect 667 souls of dismembered enemies

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements.

Plague
Kill 6666 enemies with stakes

One of the most grinding achievements... Kill 6666 with the Stakegun. I've unlocked it by replaying over and over the "Atrium Complex" Solo Survival map. It takes about 6-8 hours.

Scavenger
Kill 3 enemies with one shotgun blast

Freeze 3 enemies with the Shotgun's alternative fire then align with them and shoot them with the shotgun's primary fire.

Skewers
Kill 3 enemies with one Boltgun shot

Equip the Boltgun (the weapon that shoots five bolts when you fire it) and align three enemies

Sniping Elite
Solo Campaign: Finish the level using stakes only and don't miss any hit

For this one, load the tutorial level and when you're at the second part, collect the Stake Gun and shoot all incoming enemies. If you miss, reload checkpoint.

Spammer
Shoot 50000 times

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements.

Tornado
Kill 333 enemies with explosive weapons

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements.

Twister
Kill 500 enemies with environmental explosions

Upside Down Beast
Kill 999 enemies with Shotgun

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements.

Warehouseman
Collect 500 ammo crates

Self-explanatory, you shouldn't worry about it as it should unlock to your progression while you do other achievements. If not, find a map where there's plenty of it and collect them, reload checkpoint etc.

We tried several, some unlocked, some didn't, ("Sport Season", "Robber", "Untouched", "Best of the Best" were ok but not "Last moment"), same problem for ⛧𝓝𝓘𝓑𝓘𝓡𝓤⛧ and myself.

But I have the same problem for another old game, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, so I guess this is common for old games that are not supported anymore.

It doesn't matter, I had fun during the solo so that ok :)

We'll try again next week for some multiplayer ones.
