All Aboard - Achievement Guide

This is an easy, fairly fast and relatively cheap way to earn the All Aboard achievement in Orcs Must Die 2, which requires you to kill 1000 orcs with minecarts.

Map and Items

I have decided to farm this achievement on Edge, on the War Mage difficulty for two reasons.
One - there are only weak orcs coming from one spawn point so they were easy to kill and I didn't have to worry about other spawn points.
Two - It takes only about 5 minutes to complete this level.

If you are going to follow this guide, you will only really need 3 items. These are:

The Crossbow - usefull because of the secondary attack which is a stun.
The Barricades - usefull to force the orcs to walk on the rail.
Mana Rage Trinket - usefull to have it in order to increase your mana and be able to stun more.

Please note that you can only get the Barricades after you get to (and finish I think) level 6 in story mode. If you have played a couple of levels of the story (at least enough to unlock the Barricades) you should have enough skulls to upgrade them and buy the other two items. The Crossbow will set you back 8 skulls, the Mana Rage trinket 16. You don't really need to upgrade these. What is usefull is to upgrade the Barricades so that they cost less.

Note: You don't REALLY need the Mana Rage trinket, specially if you are playing as the Sorceress. But you will need to time your stuns really well if you won't use it.

How to set yourself up and start running orcs over with carts

You will start near the orc spawn point.

Backtrack a bit until you reach the first rail. Select your Barricades and set them up so that the orcs must walk on the rail for as much as possible. Use the screenshots to see how I placed the Barricades.

Now what you will want to do is let the carts kill the orcs. Use your map to see when the next cart is coming as they are not very very frequent. Stun the orcs to keep them on the rail. If you stun a couple of them in the front they will block the path for the rest. Use your stuns wisely if you didn't get the Mana Rage Trinket.

At the end of level I had 125 orcs killed with minecarts. I did not have to kill any of them myself. This level will only last for 5 minutes this way, so if you repeat this a couple of times, in 40 minutes you should have the achievement.

i just want to ps that sometimes orcs go stupidier than they normally are and attack barricades so i pick windbelt just in case. Also might rather pick frost gauntlet thing because its secondary stuns more and gets you killstreaks ranging from 8-44+.

if you block off your side completely with barricades, they will go through the tunnel while on the rail to get killed.

I´m kinda new (actually not, just havent played in a while) so I want to ask, how do you unlock the barricade? I have a wooden shield near them and I cant unlock them
