How to start if you are a new player
Your first goal is to create a fast relatively cheap but at the same time effective aggro deck that will carry you to the diamond and possibly to master in ranked.

Your best shot of finding such a deck is monitoring eternalwarcry.com and finding an aggro deck with no or few legendaries that is good in the current state of the game (called by some 'meta').

When you find it, create the cards gradually.

You can temporarily replace some more expensive cards with cheaper versions.

Once you get some version of the deck that works hit that play ranked button.

Playing ranked gives you 3 silver chests a day which is very nice. Aggro deck gives you fast matches you make money (relatively) fast. Your goal at this moment should be winning enough matches to get your 3 silver chests a day. If you have 40-50 percent winrate you are doing good. Remember we are not trying to climb now, we are making money.

later to write about: making money with gauntlet.
In short you need a cheap enjoyable gauntlet grinding deck. But more on that later.

June 18, 2020 Update : A very good deck for gauntlet right now. It was played by a current world master's gauntlet speedrun record holder and it has only one legendary (Phoenix Stone)

It has link on video of the playthrough but I will post it here also just in case.
How to best spend your hard earned gold
This section will be mostly written later, but here are some quick points.
1. Do not buy packs with gold

This is very important. Best investment for you Eternal gold is draft. Period.

2. Do not spend your gold on participating in events.

! Look in section other opinions for people advocating participating in events!

3. It maybe a good strategy to spend your gold on draft with AI (Forge) but it is a temporary solution while draft is eternal.

4. Three ways to draft
1) Raredraft if you have no time
2) Play full draft with best cards for draft without raredrafting if you want to maximize your chances
3) (Best for making shifstone, I think) I call it partial raredraft. Take all blue and gold rarity cards when they are available, then pick best common and uncommon cards for winning.
Why Eternal is so generous compared to some othere games and how to use it properly
To be written later. Main point: consistency with shifstone stream and it being enough to craft competitive decks being fully FTP player.

One thing not to forget: connect your account to twitch and watch (or 'watch') streams for more shifstone.
If you want to spend some money on this game to support developers, the most profitable way to spend gems that you get
to be written later but some quick points.

1. Best investment of gems is to spent them on campaigns and miniexpension if you need cards from campaigns. Spending 1000 gems on a campaign/miniexpansionorwhattheycallthemthisday if you need/want some cards from it saves you 25000 gold to spend on draft.

2. Once you get all the cards from campaigns you want (do not bay campaigns cards from which you don't need/what at the moment or you think you won't need/want in the near future) the best way to spend your gems is to spend them on draft.
How to win in draft
to be written later (remember to put links for some draft guides)

Short answer for now: Cards should match each other and each card has a draft value. You need to pick cards with high draft value that will at the same time match well with each other. Also remember to be within recommended number of units and to make sure you have powerbase to support your cards.

If you choose to play my recommended version of partial raredraft, then you take all rare and legendary cards that you see and when there is no legendary/rare cards to pick, you pick cards that have best draft value and match each other well.

Also it is a bit unrelated, but recently I got 2 golden legendaries from one draft. This is with other cards and 400 shiftstone that you get automatically from each draft nets you more than 7000 shiftstone for 5000 gold. I'll admit it only happened to me once but it is still impressive.
Other opinions
My friend wrote me this after reading my guide:

Hey, I've read my your guide, good work, keep it up!
I am unsure though why you advise against sealed events. They've been pretty good to me I think. I come to at least 8600 dust worth 12500 gold if you get top 1000.
In my 2 previous runs I realized that 50% winrate was enough for top 1000
I got to top 500 in my second run
and my previous calculus ignores the possibility of opening legendaries from packs
14 guaranteed packs+ 12 rewarded = 26 packs

I give you this information as it is for the moment.
