Intro
I`m playing for a long time. And I constantly see stupid mistakes of players. Both new and old. And I decided to make a universal guide. It is not about the basics. It is about the nuances that I see constantly and do not understand why others do not see them. After this guide, you will be transferred to the category of pro players. If you just want to log in, shoot and log out, and are in no way interested in becoming better, skip this guide.

Believe me or not - decide for yourself. A little bit about myself. I have been playing for a year and a half. According to Steam, 490 hours. The prestige level of mechanics is 10. The price of the storage is 10468 coins. Donated only once – when I bought the season pass for the founders fraction. Everything else is earned by me.

So.
How to build
It's probably strange to talk about it, but somehow I`m still often seeing this in the game. I repeat - DO NOT PLACE WEAPONS AND MODULES ON STRUCTURAL PARTS. Once again for those who don`t get it. Certain parts let damage through. That is, if the grille has durability of 8 and passes 90%, then its effective durability is 80 (video CROSSOUT TEST # 7: Griles and parts that "Lets damage through"). And 90% of the damage is taken by the part behind it, so do not protect explosive modules with them. And the frame also has resist to melee damage.

The most important part of your craft
Almost everyone forgets about such part as radio. What it does. It increases the radius of information transmitted to allies by 450 m, which is approximately half of the map. Detectors also have ability of transmitting information. What does the transfer of information mean? This means the enemies that you see are also seen by your allies. Previously, not all cabins had a built-in radar / radio and in the cabins description the data for the built-in radar was indicated. I do not know why, but the description was deleted after changing its characteristics. Now this data can only be found on crossoutdb.com or on the Russian wiki fan site in the section for additional cab features. Different cabs also have different braking performance. Below are the values for the various cabins in meters after rebalance.

In practice. Have you ever had a situation when at the end of the match were left you, one ally and one enemy. You start the battle with the enemy, and your ally moves in the opposite direction, instead of helping you. This is because he does not know that the enemy is near you. For heaven’s sake, put in yourself a radio. It does not take up much space, conveniently shaped, costs a penny, but it helps a lot and turns matches into real team fights. You will no longer have questions why you are alone, and the allies are not helping you. (Sorry for the quality.)
How you see the map.

How an ally sees.
Durability / weight ratio
All parts have a specific value of durability and weight. And not all details are equival. Best of all this ratio is in lunatics parts. That is, for a unit of weight you will get more hp. Worst details are the wolves. There, for a unit of weight, you will get less hp. You need to pay attention to this when building, since weight is very important. It also explains the order of parts from fractions in storage. Just remember, the higher the part is, the better it is in ratio of durability/ weight.

There is also a durability / volume ratio. Where per unit volume you get more hp. Therefore, when you need a part of a certain shape, pay attention to the parts from different fractions.

My opinion is that the game durability system is poorly made. And the best option for armor is spatial armor. How to make it. From the cab in four directions you place the frame beneath and the grilles above. And hang armor around. Or the second option. Go to the exhibition, find craft on Hovers and remake it for yourself.
How is durability of your craft calculated
I myself do not know for sure. The cabin is the starting point of the calculation. Parts that add durability, increase the cab hp. My formula: craft hp = cab hp + (parts hp * percentage of the current craft hp). In order not to give false information, here are calculations.

The cabin has 295 hp. Added structural parts for 100 hp. The total durability of the craft is 395 hp. If the damage goes to the cabin itself, then 395 hp damage is done (yellow).

If you first knock down the structural parts (white 100), and then the cabin (yellow 295), the amount is the same - 395 hp.

If first into the cabin (yellow 100), then into the part (white 100), and again into the cabin (100 + 220 = 320), then 420 hp is obtained.

In the same way. Cab 200 + parts 100 + cab 145 (345), it turns out 445.
Cabin 300 + parts 100 + cabin 71 (371), it turns out 471.

As you can see, the structural parts do not give the craft durability one for one, but the percentage, which is calculated according to the current craft hp. That is, although it shows that we did 100 white damage to a part, in reality, craft only received a percentage of that (75, 49, 25 damage respectively).

Including percentage:
395 (yellow) + 0 (white 100 - 100%) = 395
100 (white 100 - 0%) + 295 (yellow) = 395
100 (yellow, 25% of the initial hp) + 75 (white 100 - 25%) + 220 (yellow 100 + 220 = 320) = 395
Etc.

So don`t armor your cab with structural parts. It will not benefit you. However you can armor it with parts with high durability that do not add structure, like plows, engines.

Wheels
When placing multiple wheels, always place a pair of non-steering wheels in the middle. One, they have a larger carry mass. Two, they will allow you to keep the ability to move when you lose the front or rear wheels. To better understand what I'm talking about, make a test craft with several st and non-st wheels. And then remove some of them one by one. Never alternate st and non-st wheels, as handling will be awful.

An interesting fact. Even non-steering wheels can turn. For this reason, craft with one track can still be controlled.
How is the speed of your craft calculated
Power is acceleration, that is, how fast you reach maximum speed. Tonnage is the weight limit, going over witch will impose a penalty on speed and acceleration. It can be increased with the help of movement parts.

The mass limit is the point that gives the maximum penalty. Pay attention to the bonuses that engines give.

Buy yourself blue wheels. White wheels are not reliable. Often saw longtime players on white wheels. It is not right. With normal wheels, you'll have one thing less to worry about.

Different wheels have different speeds. Here is a relative speed indicator for various parts. (Video Ultimate Wheel Speed Test Guide - Crossout) without context - the shorter the time, the faster the craft. And yes, the wheels are faster than the Hovers. But the uniqueness of Hovers is that they move equally fast in all directions. For the rest, the speed of going backwards is 30% of the maximum speed. On crossoutdb.com you can also find the characteristic for road grip.

An interesting bug. If you move back weaving, and not in a strait line, your speed will be higher.
How to play
Remember one thing. Your craft is fragile. And in battles that team wins, witch has more players. Hold on to your allies. Constantly look at the map to know where the allies are and where the enemies are. If you have fast craft, go to the rear and kill those scorpion hovers. Try to be in the right place at the right time. You cannot do anything alone. You will be taken apart.

Constantly monitor the situation on the map. Envision the movement of the enemy. Help the allies that turned upside down, but not at the cost of your life.

Never drive right behind an ally, much less stand there. If there is an enemy around the corner, the ally will want to fall back. And then it will turn out that you blocked him.

How to play against spearmen. Spears have hp too. If you see the Spearman, shoot spears. Begin to drive backwards and right before the impact turn to the side. This will reduce damage. The same strategy works against a Tusk.

Game against bots. They have a dumb algorithm. They will attack the first one they see. And even when you hide, they will pursue you. They will ignore your allies, even if they are closer.

Often bots have weak points. Find and use them. In standard crafts in mayhems, this is also often the case.

You know the towers in raids. For some reason, not everyone knows how to kill them. You should not shoot at the tower itself, but at the weapon on the tower. An exception is when the team has a Tusk.

In raids you need to take weapons with a high rate of fire. Because there are many enemies and they are weak. And in such a situation it is necessary to keep formation. Get in line and wait for them to come to you. Shoot bots in the cab. This way you will clear raids faster. Against the Leviathans, on the contrary, it’s good to have rockets.

How to defeat a goliath. In fact, such crafts are easy to flip over. Even if you don’t have a wedge. When one on one against a goliath, drive him directly under one of the tracks. The shape of a goliath is such that it will ride on you and roll over.

White wheels have little hp. If you see an enemy with these, shoot them. So he will not be able to move. It`s easy to hit a standing target.
How to wedge
The situation when you and the enemy have wedges. Game has a well-made suspension system. When you drive forward, front rises. When you drive back, front lowers. If you go straight for the enemy, then he will wedge you.

When you see the wedge coming at you, stand or ride back. So he will get on top of you. If he stands and you are going to ram, then brake before contact. The nose will go down and the enemy will get lifted.
How to make money
Crossout is a grind. Much, much grind. How to speed up the process a little. Do not sell the metal that you earn. Gather and craft parts. It’s more profitable to sell them. See which part is more expensive to sell. Do not use crossoutdb.com. I don’t know why, but the profit on that site does not correspond to the real one. At least mine never matched. Count everything yourself. About the market. Whoever says what, but the market is regulated by developers. Maybe in past not, but right now it is.

Fuel must be spent on raids for plastic. Collect engineer badges and exchange them for plastic. It is expensive and can be sold. Complete daily tasks. From them you`ll get a lot of metal and at the end a container. Many say sell containers and not open. Personally, I always open them. There is a chance that you`ll get a purple part. And if you got white, reopen. To sell fuel or not. Decide for yourself. Just consider where will be more profit. I always keep some in the storage in case I want to go on raids.
Outro
I hope this guide will help you become better and will bring many victories.

Good effort on the guide!, but only having 460 hours seems like your not at the making a guide stage yet. but some good points and so are the other comments made by C/O players. :crossout_craft: :crosout_ride: :crossout: :crossout_destroy: :dontbreathe:

i saw 'scorpion hover' and knew that this isn't for new players. new players don't encounter scorps. also: saving up badges for the epic container is better than buying plastic. in the long run, anyway.
i'd rate this as a mid-tier tutorial.

Ah your talking about that.... Well that is true to a point, for machine gun's and shotguns that would be the case, however for cannons or scorps or any high damageing thing, even auto cannons you can put armor in front of the cab to (A) nearly negate the damage of the shot or (B) Lessin the damage by a lot, if these shots hit your cab they will deal 100% of there damage to your build, this is the point of spaced armor after all, even if its not spaced the rounds will still not deal 100% damage, this is why you should armor the front of your cab with lighter parts that don't have a lot of HP and armor the rear or under side of your build so you can live much longer and get the best of both world's.

The cab is the most durable part. That is why you see a lot of hovers with the cab in front. As well as with engines. I was talking that it is mathematicaly non benefitial to cover your cab with armor, since your craft will still recieve full damage. It is also mathematically beneficial to have a little overweight.

As someone who has played on the launcher for 4 years I can say this guild is very good.... HOWEVER the use of the radio is not really needed and should be looked like a "If i can i should use it, If i cant, i wont use it" seeing as how it takes up one part that could be used for 120 more HP or 500 for example... Also using bumbers as pure armor is a dumb idea, you only should use bumbers in the front of the build or on hard points. Bumbers dont add HP meaning if you have a bumber thats not gonna get shot untill your near death then that part is not gonna help your ass do to the fact it dose not give its HP
