Thanks mate. However now that I'm taking a +40 raider hit every 3 - 4 seasons it's feeling like a slow slog to 300 population. Almost there and think I'll call it quits at that. Then I'll try your mini-fort approach and see how that works out. Suspect mini-forts will sustain my population better in these later stages but at least I can do Viking defence in the earlier stages.......
