Xpadder Profile for Darkout

This guide will teach how to setup Xpadder, install my profile for this game, and apply my Darkout Theme as well.

What is Xpadder?

So what is Xpadder you ask, its a simple program that allows you to map different keys to any controller you enjoy using, be it Xbox 360, PS3 or whatever you fancy.

Its quite simple to use once you're able to wrap your head around it, and will allow you to use your controller with any game.

Today I'm going to show you how to get Xpadder, how to install my game profile and how to apply my theme.

Getting Xpadder

Go to xpadder.com and hit the download button.


Select your language and country.


Hit next.


Pay the $10 through Paypal.


Go back to the main page hit the forum button and go to the
Download Xpadder Section and click this thread.



Click on the link to download Xpadder.



Put the .exe program you just downloaded into a folder and put the folder whenever you like, make sure to create a shortcut on your desktop to it also.

Game Profile

There are many game profiles made by other users posted on the forum, but for this guide we will be posting the profile for Darkout.

To start off we are going to copy and paste the text.
Go ahead and copy this then scroll down.

Once you copy the code go to your Xpadder program
and click the little page icon, and then click paste.
Now go ahead and click the little disk icon and name it Darkout.


You should have somthing that looks like this.


Each image is a set in this profile, you press a button set by the
creator to use the buttons in the next set. For this set, set 2, you
hold down the Right Bumper.


And to get to this set, set 3, hold down the Right Bumper and then the Left Bumper.

Theme Images

Pretty much any image can be used as a background theme,
as long as it's a 520 by 360 and a 24-bit bmp.

For the image copy it, paste it in Paint, then save as a 24-bit bmp.

That's It

Your all finished, just make sure that Xpadder is running before you start playing your game. You can click your shortcut to start it up and when it's running an icon will show up in the notification bar.

think about it tho, for 10 bucks you can have the ability to use a controller on any game, plus lots of ppl post there game profiles on their forums, so you dont even have to configure one yourself if you dont want to

Great guide, but $10? I'll wait for controller support in stage 2 next year. I only paid $15 or something for the game itself.
