Guide about Modding game to play as other cousins on singleplayer mode.

About (Important)

Hello, this guide about How to Mod your Katamari Damacy REROLL to play as other cousins on singleplayer mode.

Things that you need to know:

• Before modding game, please, better complette game fully, and don't use your main saves. Mod is Only for new game, or crate new save only for cousins play. Issues can screw up your main saves or softlock your game. You warned!
  
  
• Prince Models won't change only on Menu, Save/Load Menu and on cutscenes with King Cosmos.
  With that mod, you can't play with friends on mushroom land anymore and wear any cosmetics from gifts. They working only on Prince model.
  
  
• Also, some models work not correctly, so be careful. They can softlock your game!
  
  
• Some people gets glitch with black screen on menu and cutscenes, so to fix it, close and open game again, till this glitch fix itself.

special note: "02_nocousin" removes cousins 
and prince. So only katamari stays on screen

More about Issues

Perfectly working - It's perfectly working, lol.

Good working - Game will work fine. But you can't play with friends on mushroom land anymore and wear cosmetics from gifts.

Issue/Tutorial lock - means that you can start new game, but stuck on tutorial.
Game get softlocked and only way it's close game. Plus you same can't play with friends on mushroom land anymore and wear cosmetics from gifts

Totally not working - That's mean game won't work correct, dumb. Game get instant UI glitch and softlock, only way it's close game. Please, don't try.

1. Setup

So, here's the guide how to instal mod:

1. First what you need to do, is download that full pack of all cousins:

   (pack by me, so if you want to use it somewhere else, please credit SanekOgon)
   
   
2. Now, unzip "KDRcousins_mod" as folder and put somewere you want.
   
   
3. Prepear Katamari Damacy REROLL data folder to modding.
   If you don't know how to find it, go to...
   

   (disc)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Katamari Damacy REROLL

   or Go to your Steam Library "Katamari Damacy REROLL", right click on name of game and chose Properties, then...
   

   Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files...

Now Setup is ended. Let's begin to practice!

2. Modding

Now Listen closely or if you afford one error, you get ur game unplayable.

1. First you need to do, get in correct "katamari_Data" folders:
   

   (disc)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Katamari Damacy REROLL\katamari_Data\StreamingAssets\StandaloneWindows\

   Great!
   
   
2. Now we need to open unzipped "KDRcousins_mod" and open "cousins" folder.
   For this Guide tutorial we use "16_june".
   Pick wich cousin you want, and go to next step \/
   
   
3. After picking your cousin, go again to katamari data folder from Step 1 and delete files that named "ouji01" & "ouji01.manifest" from katamari data folder "StandaloneWindows".
   
   
4. For our example, we take from "16_june" folder files that named "ouji01" & "ouji01.manifest" and put them back to katamari data folder "StandaloneWindows".

Don't delete any of mod files on mod folders, they need to recover your data after game.

3. Done!

Congrats!!!

Now, you moded your Prince into one of his cousins!

You can swich cousins every moment when you want by following this guide.




If you got any problems with game after that. That's mean you did something wrong.
Just recover all and try again by closely following this guide.

DATA RECOVERY

IF YOU GOT ANY PROBLEMS, FOLLOW THIS RECOVERY MOVES!!!

1. Please go to unzipped "KDRcousins_mod" and open "cousins" folder.
   
   
2. Pick files "ouji01" & "ouji01.manifest" from "01_prince" folder ONLY and put them to katamari data folder "StandaloneWindows".
   

   (disc)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Katamari Damacy REROLL\katamari_Data\StreamingAssets\StandaloneWindows\

   
   
3. Now you get fully recovered Prince model back.

Hm, I installed it following the steps (or so I believe) but the game after the menu select is a black screen, any thoughts on why?

If you get softlocked on Taurus, swap to prince, beat the stage, and switch back to your cousin.

Apply Lalala's texture to Ichigo's model.
Find a way to decrypt level code.

One issue is that their faces dissappear when idle or when quick turning. Otherwise, great mod!
