How to run Bioshock on Windows 7 32/64 bit
By se7en
I'm currently using a dual booted Windows 7 64 bit OS that usually doesn't make my Bioshock work. I always ended up reinstalling and re verifying the game through Steam. But everything changed until I found this GREAT kind of method. No need to update or uninstalling the drivers, just read the guide and everything will be fine. No crashes, everything will be smooth.

All around method
No need to reformat, reinstall, uninstall, redownload, reverify, or etc:
1. Go through "Control Panel"
2. Click "Hardware and Sound"
3. Click "Manage Audio Devices" on the Sound category
4. A pop-up will appear, then choose the "Recording" tab.
5. Right click the blank box area within the Microphone and Line In. Just right click the white blank area. "White Blank Area"!
6. After right clicking, click "Show Disabled Devices".
7. A Stereo Mix will appear then right click it to choose "Enable".

Run Bioshock in Steam Library, Desktop, or the directory folder "WITHOUT or "WITH" using the compatibility mode. Just run it and everything will be fine smoothly as possible.

NOTE: I'm using a STEAM version, meaning, I have no idea on the "none-steam" versions of Bioshock.

@Rabbid_Gone_Wild

Are you using a Realtek Audio Driver? If not, what kind of audio drivers are you using?
